Abhishek Bachchan’s character, named Kaalidhar, is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and is perceived as a financial burden by his selfish brothers and their spouses. In an attempt to seize his property, they plan to eliminate him, but their scheme falls through. Eventually, they devise a different strategy: they secretly obtain Kaalidhar’s thumbprints on property documents while he is asleep, then abandon him at the Kumbh Mela festival.

In a neighboring town, Kaalidhar encounters Ballu (Daivik Bhagela), an eight-year-old orphan, who becomes his friend.
