Voting for the PG People’s Choice Award 2025 is now open

Following numerous weeks of nominations, it’s time for the Pocket Gamer People’s Choice Award 2025! Your brilliant game ideas have been submitted and narrowed down to twenty exceptional contenders. If your preferred game from the previous year is among them, that’s terrific. However, there’s still a task at hand. Voting is now underway and will conclude on July 31st at midnight. To ensure your top choice secures victory, participate actively and encourage a few friends to do the same!

Isn’t it quite an impressive assortment? As usual, I’m relieved the decision falls to you since choosing a single one from that array would be challenging for me. Admittedly, my difficulty stems partly from Dredge not being among the nominees. Regrettable indeed! However, I should clarify, I was merely joking. The People’s Choice Award reflects your audience’s preference, not mine.

When will we find out the winner?

Okay, so you know that you have until midnight on July 31st to cast your votes, but what happens after that? When do the winners get announced? Well, we’re hosting a swanky (at least, I assume it’ll be swanky or some other similar adjective) awards presentation evening on
Tuesday, August 19th
. The astute among you will recognise that’s Gamescom time, and, therefore, won’t be surprised to learn it’ll be at the Gürzenich in Cologne. It’ll then be up on the website shortly after, meaning there’s no need to dust off your suit if you’re a stay-at-home type like me.
