How To Unlock Layered Weapons in Monster Hunter Wilds

To customize any weapon design as a Layered Weapon, you need to completely level up a particular weapon category first. Once you’ve crafted the final weapon from that category, it will become available as a Layered Weapon for the same type of weapon.

In simpler terms, reaching the maximum level on the Rathian Great Sword improves it so that other Great Swords can adopt its design. To create layered Artian Weapons, you must enhance a Rarity 8 weapon to its full potential. Additionally, by crafting higher-rank versions of specific Palico weapons, you can unlock layered variations for those weapons.

How To Equip Layered Weapons in Monster Hunter Wilds

After fulfilling any of the given conditions, you will be able to outfit layered weapons at your base camp or portable tent. Navigate to the Appearance Menu, then select Equipment Appearance.
