Regarding the characters Sung Jinwoo from “Solo Leveling” and Satoru Gojo in “JJK,” it’s clear that there is an abundance of incredibly powerful, or should I say, broken anime characters roaming about these days.
Characters in anime who possess unique abilities to dramatically alter or manipulate the narrative’s battles or conflicts in unprecedented, impactful ways, often leading to unforgettable viewing experiences, are referred to as “cracked” characters. These characters transcend conventional boundaries and fairness, demonstrating extraordinary powers that only they can use effectively to weave a one-of-a-kind tale that no other anime character could replicate.
Otherwise, Sailor Moon is Part of a Balanced Team
In simpler terms, Usagi Tsukino from the popular series “Sailor Moon” is often ranked lower among the most powerful anime characters due to her inconsistent use of extraordinary abilities. Mostly, she functions as a member of the Sailor Guardians team rather than standing out as an overpowering character. However, when the situation is critical and the enemy seems unbeatable, Usagi demonstrates her incredible strength, which is why she is renowned in such instances.
In her role as Sailor Moon, Usagi consistently vanquishes malevolent entities and transforms the cosmos to ensure a brighter future for all. This incredible feat, accomplished with the Legendary Silver Crystal, showcases Sailor Moon’s extraordinary capabilities, thereby solidifying her status as an iconic figure. Despite her flaws and moments of vulnerability, Usagi remains relatable to fans due to her human imperfections.
The Other Sternritter Feared Gremmy as a Monster
In the captivating world of Bleach, some antagonists stand out for their remarkable power levels, yet they seem to be confined by specific abilities or themes. This limitation applies to many, even mighty figures like Baraggan Luisenbairn, but not Sternritter V, Gremmy Thoumeaux. The other Sternritter tread carefully around him due to Gremmy’s terrifying nature as a “monster” wielding the boundless power of The Visionary.
Gremmy disrupted the battle system in “Bleach” by employing The Visionary, a powerful ability that allowed him to generate, reverse, or alter anything using only his imagination. He was capable of a wide range of feats: transforming people’s bones into soft cookies, healing his own injuries, generating massive bodies of water, or even summoning huge meteors or duplicating himself. The sole factor that led to this formidable anime antagonist’s defeat was Kenpachi’s indomitable determination, which took Gremmy by surprise as he hadn’t encountered such persistent opposition before.
Light Only Lost Fights Because of His Careless Allies
From a physical standpoint, I might not seem extraordinary, just a young man scribbling ideas in a notebook and harboring an enormous dream. However, if we’re talking about the intellectual realm, according to Death Note’s perspective, I am far from ordinary. Light Yagami is too intellectually formidable for anyone to match up to. Even the geniuses like L, Near, or Mell couldn’t best him single-handedly. They had to capitalize on his allies’ mistakes to bring him down.
In a one-on-one battle of wits, Light’s brilliance, ingenuity, and the potent abilities of the Death Note made him virtually invincible. Consequently, his adversaries had to capitalize on any blunders made by Light’s associates, like Misa Amane being apprehended or Teru Mikami using the notebook inappropriately. Moreover, Light’s exceptional acting skills and covert knowledge of NPA data only added to his already considerable edge.
All For One’s Quirk is Just Too OP
Some anime villains are formidable due to their unique, dominating skillset, while others are imbalanced in power because they can utilize any ability. By fortunate circumstances, the scheming villain known as All For One in ‘My Hero Academia’ was born with a Quirk optimized for his ambition to become a demon lord. His namesake Quirk permits him to maneuver between abilities and even seize them, with One For All being the unique exception.
Using his unique ability, All For One amassed numerous powers over the years, enabling him to match All Might in combat. Unlike All Might, who relies solely on his own strength, All For One can transfer his Quirk to empower his allies or strip it from his foes. Though All Might emerged victorious in their battles, it’s important to note that All For One possesses capabilities that surpass those of the Symbol of Peace.
Freezing Time is Impossible to Overcome
In the realm of captivating anime characters, I find myself consistently drawn to one who once went by the name Dio Brando. This enigmatic figure, hailing from JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, stands out among the crowd due to his exceptional ability, which often tilts the balance in his favor during battles.
What sets DIO apart is not just his impressive physical prowess with The World, but also his unique power to manipulate time itself. This ability, a tantalizing blend of overpowering and confusing, is a hallmark of many intriguing fictional characters. And let me tell you, DIO uses this power to its fullest potential!
Observing closely, it’s evident that when wielding The World’s most exceptional power, DIO has an uncanny ability to halt time for everyone except himself. This peculiar skill grants him a significant advantage, making it seemingly impossible for traps to ensnare him or for his opponents to retaliate effectively. It was this very ability that allowed DIO to fatally wound Kakyoin and nearly claim Joseph Joestar’s life. If not for the plot’s protective shield, Jotaro Kujo might have suffered a similar fate. However, having witnessed the power in action, Jotaro seized the opportunity to employ it himself in an attempt to engage DIO on his own chosen battleground.
Eren Could Even Summon the Forms of Previous Titan Shifters
In the narrative of “Attack on Titan,” I’ve noticed that the protagonist, Eren Yeager, was often evenly matched as a Titan Shifter among the Nine. However, this balance shifted dramatically in the final arc. Leveraging Zeke’s royal blood, Eren harnessed the Founding Titan, granting him an unparalleled power. With this titanic might, he left a trail of destruction, toppling entire armies and nations under his relentless advance. A horde of Colossal Titans, numbering in the millions, served as his formidable army, making him an unstoppable force.
Only a select few anime characters possess the ability to endanger the entire world, and it’s truly remarkable that Eren Yeager was able to do so with just his physical prowess, lacking any space magic or reality-bending powers. What makes this even more impressive is that he ultimately succumbed, but only after Mikasa Ackerman had organized an elite squad to bring him down – a testament to Eren’s immense strength. In addition, Eren displayed an unprecedented ability among Attack on Titan fans by assuming the forms of previous Titan Shifters.
Mana Was Too Overpowered For Her Own Good
Mana Nakiri from “Food Wars!” stands out as an exceptional portrayal of an anime character who is unconventionally eccentric, without needing to flatten mountains or single-handedly defeat armies. The show’s conflict revolves around culinary expertise, requiring a finely tuned palate, advanced cooking skills, and deep understanding of the food industry. Mana Nakiri ascended to the pinnacle of this culinary world, but eventually grew disillusioned with her lofty position.
Mana’s predicament was that, with her divine ability to taste foods, she found no unexplored territories in cuisine, nothing to thrill or test her. Her exceptional palate was almost a curse, driving Mana into deep sadness. It became nearly impossible to satisfy her taste buds, and at one point, it even shattered the Nakiri family. However, fortunately, the family managed to heal, with the Nakiris choosing to cook out of love rather than striving for perfection.
Gojo Warped the Plot of the Shibuya Incident Arc
In the world of manga creation, it’s unusual for an author to feel discontent with a character due to their excessive power, and this is exactly what occurred with Gege Akutami and Satoru Gojo in the Jujutsu Kaisen series. Several plots within the franchise were significantly influenced by Gojo’s invincibility because of his infinite-based sorcery, and he relished in being unconquerable.
In their initial battle, Gojo outsmarted Jogo, utilizing his Domain Expansion. Even during the Shibuya Incident, despite being overpowered, Gojo remained invincible and could not be slain. It was a challenge for Mahito’s group to merely imprison Gojo, as he had to be sidelined so that the protagonist, Yuji Itadori, would remain exposed. Given the extraordinary nature of Gojo’s abilities, it’s hardly shocking since his power is essentially infinite, making it impossible for anything else to surpass this infinity.
Jinwoo’s Already Too OP For His Own Good
In a nutshell, few anime characters are as unhinged and powerful as Sung Jinwoo from “Solo Leveling”. This statement holds true given that the anime has only completed two seasons, adapting less than half of its source material. It goes without saying that Jinwoo’s strength is bound to increase in future episodes.
Currently, he possesses the power to amass a colossal horde of formidable monsters, and boasts extraordinary abilities that grow increasingly potent with every battle. By the conclusion of the manhwa, Sung Jinwoo emerges as one of fiction’s most powerful characters. In Season 3, we can expect Jinwoo to further enhance his skills, acquire stronger abilities, and fortify his Shadow Army and powers, developments that would have been unforeseen at the onset of Season 1.
Gurren Lagann Believes Bigger is Always Better
It’s clear that the series “Gurren Lagann” consistently over-exaggerates the scale during its most epic battles. Gradually, the anime played with the concept of giant robots, repeatedly pushing boundaries by making these already massive machines even more immense to the point of absurdity. By the end, spacecraft resembling moons were part of the action, and in the climactic fight, Simon demonstrated why he stands out as one of the most extraordinary characters in anime history.
It was an astonishingly strange, funny, thrilling experience, rolled into one, watching Simon grow his Gurren Lagann mech beyond the observable universe’s limits. At that moment, the playful defiance transcended and surpassed cosmic norms, leading to the creation of a drill that seemed utterly illogical. With the power of Spiral at his disposal, Simon vanquished the Antispiral leader, and fans found it easy to believe this extraordinary feat just to witness the antagonists fall.
