Contains Spoilers for “Fire Country” Season 3
It was unexpected, but Billboard Country, the official Instagram for “Fire Country,” along with Jelly Roll himself announced that the musician will expand his skill set: acting. In an upcoming April episode of “Fire Country,” Jelly Roll will make his acting debut, marking a new addition to his resume. He had previously made a non-acting appearance on “Tulsa King” (a potential future universe-building show by Taylor Sheridan) to perform his hit song “I am Not OK.” However, this is the first time he’ll be playing someone else. His character in the show is Noah, a healthcare worker trying to escape from his past, much like Bode.

1. The specific date when Jelly Roll will debut hasn’t been disclosed yet, but an Instagram post features a sneak peek of the actor’s character. We’ll find out soon enough if Noah is an ally, adversary, or colleague to Bode. “Fire Country” has already woven musical elements into its narrative, as performances at Smokey’s Tavern bar are occasionally featured; Vince Leone (portrayed by Billy Burke), a character from “Fire Country,” is known for his musical aspirations and sometimes performs there. So, it might not be unexpected if the show has Jelly Roll serenade us with some heartfelt tunes.
2. If you haven’t heard of Jelly Roll’s role, understand that he’s gained a significant following in recent times.
Jelly Roll is a superstar
Since 2003, Jelly Roll has made a significant impact in the entertainment industry, amassing hits across both hip-hop and country music charts. His 2010 collaboration with Lil’ Wyte titled “Pop Another Pill” now boasts over seven million views on YouTube. This success catapulted his career forward, leading him to produce more solo tracks and collaborate with numerous musicians. His exploration eventually led him to the country genre, which he initially showcased in his track “Son of a Sinner.” The song’s success prompted him to delve deeper into country music as a new artistic direction.
2024 saw the release of “Beautifully Broken,” which became the first number one album on the Billboard Top 100 for the musician, following the success of his country music career. Yet, he hasn’t forgotten his R&B beginnings; he collaborated with Eminem on the track “Somebody Save Me,” where he sang the hook to his own “Save Me” and scored another rap hit. Fans will discover Jelly Roll’s acting talents when they see him in “Fire Country.
