As a lifestyle expert with a keen eye for the intricacies of Bollywood, I find it truly heartwarming to see Kiran Rao and Aamir Khan potentially collaborating again after their successful journey with Laapataa Ladies. Their professional relationship, despite personal changes, is a testament to their shared passion for storytelling and the ability to navigate the complexities of life both on and off-screen.
Known Bollywood director Kiran Rao, currently enjoying the success of her 2024 satire-drama Laapataa Ladies, has expressed interest in collaborating with her ex-husband Aamir Khan again on a future project. In a recent interview, Rao mentioned that she is open to working with Khan once more.
During a recent event, Rao was asked about working with Aamir again, she said, “No, we will definitely work together in the future. I don’t know in what capacity because I enjoy working with him, you know, he was the producer on this. Aamir found the script. So I’m always keen to work with him again.”
When questioned about the possibility of Aamir Khan appearing as an actor or producer in their upcoming venture, she admitted that she wasn’t definitive about it. Instead, she emphasized her focus on the narrative itself, letting the story unfold organically. She ended by expressing her hope for a future collaboration with him.
The movie titled “Laapataa Ladies” is brought to you by Jio Studios, and it’s directed by Rao, co-produced by Aamir Khan and Jyoti Deshpande. This production comes under the labels of Aamir Khan Productions and Kindling Productions. The script for this film was inspired by an acclaimed story penned by Biplab Goswami.
In terms of his upcoming projects, Khan is set to appear in Sitaare Zameen Par together with Genelia D’Souza and Darsheel Safary. According to Hindustan Times, this sequel focuses on Down Syndrome. Khan wishes to bring attention to yet another socially stigmatized condition by means of this film. The story he found is deeply moving, shedding light on the lives of individuals living with Down Syndrome. He plans to handle the subject matter delicately, aiming to make a difference that promotes equal treatment for those impacted by the syndrome.
Khan has additionally confirmed that he will be involved in the production of “Lahore 1947,” featuring Sunny Deol as the main character. Earlier reports suggested that the filming for “Lahore: 1947” would commence in February. According to a reliable source, this partition-themed movie directed by Rajkumar Santoshi is expected to start production on February 12, 2024. The source disclosed that preparations for the set are already underway in Mumbai, where massive sets are being constructed to depict the historical period, with several large structures being built to represent India during the partition era.
