Lately, Ira Khan has given a peek into her personal life by discussing aspects of her relationship with her husband, Nupur Shikhare, to fans, reminding them that they first met when Ira was 17 years old.

During a recent Q&A session with her followers, Ira Khan openly talked about mental health issues and responded to queries regarding her private life. When fans inquired about certain aspects of her personal life, particularly her husband, Ira revealed that she first encountered Nupur when she was 17; Nupur was her fitness trainer at the time. They continued working out together for quite some time, but their relationship evolved into dating once they did, which eventually led to them stopping their workouts together.

I first encountered Popeye (Nupur) while he was my personal trainer when I was 17 years old. At that point in time, he had already committed to someone else. We worked out together extensively for quite some time. Interestingly enough, once we began dating, we somehow stopped working out together.” – Ira shared.

Khan mentioned that her husband, who is a fitness trainer, served as a significant inspiration for her during her own fitness journey, prior to them developing romantic feelings. Since he’s in the fitness field, fans often wondered if Ira ever felt self-conscious about dating Nupur, considering the difference in their fitness levels due to Khan’s struggle with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS).

Khan admitted to experiencing guilt over her lack of fitness compared to Shikhare. Yet, she shared that her husband suggests she’s overanalyzing this issue. In her own words, “I feel guilty because I’m so unfit, and he is so fit, but I’m not putting in enough effort or trying hard enough. He deserves a more fit partner. But he insists it’s all in my head.
