As a fan who’s been following this rap beef for years, it feels like watching a rollercoaster ride that just won’t stop. A$AP Rocky‘s recent statement to Billboard about moving past his beef with Drake is a breath of fresh air. I mean, who needs petty lyrical wars when there are bigger fish to fry? And let’s face it, the real beef in the rap game isn’t about who can throw the best diss, but who can survive the streets and come out on top.
A$AP Rocky clarifies any misunderstandings regarding conflicts with anyone. In an interview with Billboard before the release of his upcoming album “Don’t Be Dumb,” he emphasizes that he has no intention of engaging in a lyrical battle with Drake. Despite their rivalry being widely publicized, A$AP Rocky is putting an end to the feud, stating that the issues between him and Drake are not significant enough for his attention.
In simpler terms, Rocky told Billboard, “You need to understand, some people have been taking jabs at me for a long time. I’m not involved in that drama right now. I have more important things to focus on than petty squabbles. There are real issues happening out there, like shootings and killings every day. People are even shooting at each other daily. The small-scale conflicts aren’t worth discussing.”
Currently, his new album titled “Don’t Be D dumb” has been delayed until the fall season. Keep an eye out for further updates.
