A$AP Rocky's 'Dont Be Dumb' Expected To Be Delayed Again After Fans' Pre-Orders Reportedly Canceled

As a seasoned gamer who’s navigated through countless album releases and pre-order fiascos, I can’t help but feel a twinge of familiarity with A$AP Rocky’s latest saga. It seems we’ve added another chapter to the book of “Album Delays 101.

As a dedicated fan, I’ve been anxiously waiting for A$AP Rocky’s “Don’t Be Dumb” album, but it seems like another round of delays is upon us. Initially announced back in late 2022 and later slated for a release at his first fashion show in June 2024, the date was moved to August. Now, it looks like we’ll have to hold on even longer, with the album being pushed back to an unspecified fall date. Over the weekend, I noticed some retailers cancelling pre-orders for the vinyl edition of the album, which has left many fans, including myself, feeling a bit disappointed and uncertain about when we’ll finally get to hear this highly-anticipated release.

As a devoted fan, I’ve been eagerly awaiting the release of my favorite artist’s long-awaited album. However, with screenshots of refunds and cancelations popping up online, I can’t help but feel a pang of disappointment. It seems like we might not be getting the album this time around as some users on social media have pointed out. Earlier this August, my artist shared on X that the delay in releasing his first album in six years is due to leaks and sample clearances causing disruptions. He expressed his apologies for the wait, stating, “I want to make the best album ever. I’m sorry for the wait.” Here’s hoping for a fall release and an incredible album that will be worth the wait!

As the release of his album approached, Rocky shared a song titled “Highjack” which appeared to criticize other rappers for supposedly imitating his rhythm. The track also touched upon Drake’s ongoing affection for Rihanna. In an interview with Zane Lowe from Apple Music, Rocky discussed the album, stating that they were introducing a fresh style across all aspects, particularly incorporating German expressionism and the concept of ghetto futurism GR1M. After the release of “Tailor Swif,” he also clarified to Lowe that no previously leaked tracks would be featured on the album. However, neither Rocky nor his team have commented on the cancellations of vinyl pre-orders.

As an ardent fan, I’ve just learned that some retailers are now offering refunds for pre-orders of A$AP Rocky’s ‘DON’T BE DUMB’. The initial release date was slated for August 30th, but it appears there might have been a delay or change in plans.
