AC Schnitzer Unveils “TUNE IT! SAFE!” Police BMW M2

As a seasoned gamer with a penchant for high-performance vehicles and a keen eye for aesthetics, I must say that the Police BMW M2 by AC Schnitzer is a visual and mechanical masterpiece! The sheer power under its hood, the sleek aerodynamic upgrades, and the attention to detail in the interior make this car an absolute dream.

Under the endorsement from Germany’s Federal Ministry of Digital and Transport, as well as the German Police, the TUNE IT! SAFE! campaign has revealed their newest demonstration vehicle – the Police BMW M2, customized by AC Schnitzer. This initiative aims to emphasize the feasibility of tuning while adhering to regulations, with the Aachen-based tuning firm leading this year’s project for the 8th consecutive time.

The revamped BMW M2 by AC Schnitzer offers an enticing blend of heightened power, eye-catching design, and unwavering adherence to safety regulations. The car’s 3L motor now pumps out a remarkable 560 horsepower and 480 lb-ft of torque, a significant increase from the original 460 HP and 405 lb-ft. An AC Schnitzer exhaust system, complete with carbon sport tailpipes, accentuates the performance enhancement by optimizing gas flow and emitting a powerful, unique sound.

The driving experience is enhanced by the adjustable suspension from AC Schnitzer’s RS, which has been tried on both the Nürburgring track and public roads. This system allows for infinite height adjustment, as well as adjusting rebound and compression, thereby lowering the M2 by 25-35 mm for better handling. Additionally, lightweight forged AC4 wheels in TechGold are coupled with ultra-high-performance Hankook Ventus S1 evo 3 tires. These components are designed to minimize unsprung mass and boost agility even further.

The aerodynamic improvements encompass a front spoiler, side airfoils producing 132 pounds of downforce, and a carbon fiber rear racing wing adorned with a Gurney flap, contributing an additional 176 pounds at the back. Externally, a rear diffuser and design stickers finalize the look. Inside, unique aluminum upgrades by AC Schnitzer are showcased, such as shift paddles, pedals, and an iDrive Controller cover.
