Action Bronson, based in New York, and New Balance have been consistently successful since their partnership began in 2023. They recently released a collaborative performance collection in October and are planning to revisit the 990v6 model for 2025. Their collaboration started with a daring design featuring the sneaker, followed by a “Lapis Lazuli” version later that year, and hinted at a yellow and gray style which hasn’t been seen since then.
Following our earlier sneak peek of the “Hi-Pink” pair, we now have a clearer view of a new color scheme – the “Amazõnia”. This vibrant version was showcased in Bronson’s latest BAKLAVA lookbook. The “Amazõnia” colorway is characterized by a brown suede mudguard, which serves as a base for a layered upper that blends royal blue with neon pink. Additional accents include seafoam green, silver, and orange. Typically, the “baklava” branding can be found at the tongue, and the plush midsole showcases a blend of gray, taupe, and off-white.
As I write this, neither Action Bronson nor New Balance have given a release date for the “Amazônia” colorway of the 990v6 shoe. Keep an eye out for further announcements, including a full view of the shoe, as we anticipate it will become available in the coming months at approximately $220 USD, similar to its previous versions, through New Balance.
