Adam Carolla cracks wise on podcasts, interviews and via comedy club stages.
He becomes quite earnest when discussing the California wildfires, and it’s evident that his opinions are well-informed rather than mere empty talk.
He resides in the wider Los Angeles region and frequently explores the neighborhoods to check on their recovery following the wildfires in January that burned down numerous houses.
So far, not so good.
During a recent podcast episode of ‘The Adam Carolla Show’, Carolla mentioned that cleaning up the mess is just one aspect of their work, and it’s relatively straightforward. However, he pointed out that they haven’t addressed the underlying foundation yet.
Previously, he captured footage of the area before it was cleaned up from the destruction caused by the fire, hours following his forced evacuation from home. Now, six months on, he’s returning to the charred landscapes to assess the advancement, carrying a camera once more.
The comedian paired the initial footage with the latest visuals to show the progress to date.
Or lack thereof.
In his first video, recorded from a hotel room following his departure from his Malibu residence, Carolla warned that residents of the city might experience quite a surprise. Obtaining necessary permits during Governor Gavin Newsom’s tenure is predicted to become an arduous task.
“You get what you deserve,” he said at the time.
Now, that’s playing out in real time.
Since their confrontation during a 2013 interview on his show, Carolla has consistently voiced criticism towards Newsom.
