As a longtime fan of Adele, this news has left me both elated and heartbroken. Elated because she’s taking a well-deserved break after giving us three years of unforgettable performances, and heartbroken because I know that means no new music for a while.
Adele will take an extended break from making music after finishing her Las Vegas residency shows in October.
During a recent concert, Adele informed her audience of some melancholy news, disclosing that after an extraordinary three-year span of live performances, she desires some respite. “Over the past seven years, I’ve been constructing a fresh life for myself, and it’s time for me to experience it,” she expressed. “I may not be the most relaxed performer, but I am exceptionally skilled at it, and I have genuinely enjoyed performing for the last three years – the longest stretch in my career and likely the longest I’ll ever do,” she added. Adele, who recently announced her engagement to Rich Paul, also made these comments.
“Adele mentioned that she only has 10 more shows left before returning to her residency in Las Vegas. After that, there’ll be a significant gap in our encounters. However, during this extended break, Adele expressed that she will cherish our connection deeply and imagine these upcoming shows, as well as any performances from the past three years.”
According to Consequence, Adele mentioned during an interview with German TV broadcaster ZDF that she has no intentions of creating new music whatsoever. She further stated, “I’m seeking a substantial break after this and I believe I want to explore other creative avenues for a while.”
