The talented star from “Ground Zero”, in an exclusive chat with Bollywood Hungama, hinted that they’re actively working on the sequel – yes, you heard it right, folks, we might be getting “Jannat 2” soon!

Following their confirmation about the upcoming sequel, the actor added that they’re in no hurry to release it. They mentioned, “We won’t proceed unless we have a robust script that effectively continues the story from where the previous movie ended, and not merely for the sake of making another film. Only then will we make an announcement.

Emraan emphasized that at present, they are working hard to ensure that Jannat makes a powerful comeback to the silver screen.

During a recent chat with Ranveer Allahbadia, the actor disclosed that production of Awarapan 2 will kick off in July 2025. He added that they are currently working on the script for the movie, and it’s set to hit theaters on April 3rd.

On March 24th, Emraan Hashmi and the production team unveiled the teaser for the sequel on various social media outlets. The announcement video showcased Emraan’s voice-over as he stood on a boat gazing at the sunset. Additionally, the clip included moments of him alongside Shriya Saran from the original film, stirring up waves of nostalgia among fans.

Under the guidance of director Mohit Suri, the 2007 film titled “Awarapan” starred Emraan Hashmi and Shriya Saran as its main characters. Important roles were also played by Mrinalini Sharma, Ashutosh Sharma, Ashish Vidyarthi, Shaad Randhawa, among others.
