After Janhvi Kapoor, Ananya Panday reveals what she doesn't like about paps; recalls her post-gym exertion was turned into breakup sadness

As a dedicated follower of Bollywood and a keen observer of its intricacies, I must say that the perspective of Ananya Panday towards paparazzi culture is both relatable and thought-provoking. Having been in the limelight myself, I can empathize with her sentiments about being constantly scrutinized and having every move documented.

Paparazzi culture has emerged as a hot topic to discuss in Bollywood. While some celebrities embrace being clicked by the media, others feel uncomfortable with their constant scrutiny. Several celebrities, including Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor, have recently opened up about paparazzi culture. After Janhvi, Ananya Panday revealed what she doesn’t like about paps. Ananya recalled how her post-gym exertion turned into breakup sadness.

During an interview with Netflix India, actress Ananya Panday, fresh from the promotion of CTRL, expressed her views on the paparazzi culture. Ananya candidly admitted that she dislikes the paparazzi and their habit of adjusting her pose angles.

As a dedicated follower, I can tell you that when asked about my approach towards paparazzi, I openly admit there’s no issue with their presence. However, what truly irks me is when they request me to turn around and strike a pose for their cameras. In the course of my professional life as an actress on CTRL, it has happened that they capture our images from behind, then challenge the online community to guess who we are.

In easier terms, the actress from “Call Me Bae” recollected an event not long ago when photographers caught her outside the gym following her exercise routine. She referred to it as a particularly challenging day because photographers had captured images of her appearing sad following her split, which was unfortunate.

Upon exiting the gym not too long ago, someone commented that I seemed sad. They assumed something must have occurred in my personal life, to which they speculated a breakup. In response, I mentioned that firstly, they might change their mind after seeing me lift 170 kg and do deadlifts.” (Attributed to the actress from Student of the Year 2)

Ananya playfully commented that everyone appears “down” at the gym and mentioned that photographers have been creating sensational stories about the actress’ emotional state following her breakup. The 25-year-old celebrity admitted she was tired after her workout session. In response to being questioned about paparazzi misinterpreting her emotions, Ananya, who starred in Pati Patni Aur Woh, expressed her dislike for such speculations.

In a past interview with Hauterrfly, Janhvi Kapoor shared that she had expressed her disapproval to the paparazzi for taking photos of her at awkward angles during the promotions of Mr and Mrs Mahi. Since then, she mentioned that the paparazzi have been considerate towards her.

Coming back to Ananya Panday, her cyber-thriller CTRL premiered on Netflix on October 4, 2024.
