After Joining Kim Kardashian And Ryan Murphy’s Hulu Show, Glenn Close Reveals Why She Nearly Passed On It

As a dedicated fan of riveting legal dramas and captivating performances, I am beyond thrilled about the upcoming Hulu series, “All’s Fair.” The addition of Glenn Close to the cast list is nothing short of exhilarating; her presence promises a level of gravitas that will undoubtedly elevate the project.

Following Kim Kardashian‘s first leading role in “American Horror Story: Delicate”, she has now agreed to participate in another series produced by Ryan Murphy. This upcoming show is titled “All’s Fair“, a legal drama being developed for Hulu. Notably, the legendary actress Glenn Close will also be part of this production, adding weight and intrigue to the already exciting project. The Academy Award nominee initially considered turning down the offer but later changed her mind, sharing the reasons behind her decision to join the show.

Ryan Murphy currently dominates TV with numerous streamable shows under his belt, earning him the title of almost reigning king in television. Shows like “American Horror Story“, “American Crime Story“, and “Glee” all bear his signature touch. Besides creating shows that are perfect for binge-watching due to their soap opera-like premises, Murphy is also renowned for attracting top-tier talent. It’s no surprise he added Glenn Close to his latest cast, but even with Murphy’s established reputation, the actress still showed hesitation about joining due to another significant project on her schedule. She shared this with Entertainment Tonight:

1. I dislike repeating the same things. Earlier, it seemed like Ryan approached me, and I told him, ‘I’m not interested in being harsh again, as I’ve already caused Damages. I don’t wish to revert back to that character.’ He reassured me, saying, ‘You won’t become that person. She will be distinct.’

In 2007, the FX/Audience series titled “Damages” commenced and ran for five seasons. Glenn Close spearheaded an illustrious ensemble featuring Rose Byrne and John Goodman. This intricate legal drama showcased Close as a relentless lawyer and master manipulator, a role that mirrored her iconic performance in “Fatal Attraction.” Her portrayal of this multidimensional character was exceptional and earned her two Emmys. Given the depth of such a role, it’s reasonable why the actress might hesitate to reprise a similar part again.

It’s great to hear that Ryan Murphy has decided to take a fresh approach with “All’s Fair,” providing an opportunity for the seasoned actress to display her versatility in a unique light. The developments about this new series have been captivating, and given Murphy’s track record with legal dramas like “The People vs. O.J. Simpson,” there’s much anticipation. As for the production status of the upcoming show, the actress from “Deliverance” mentioned:

We’re yet to kick off – it won’t begin until late September. As for me, I’m still on the hunt for her.

From my perspective as an ardent admirer, it’s still unclear when we’ll get to witness the show’s grand debut. However, given Glenn Close’s remarkable track record of delivering outstanding performances, I have absolute faith that she’ll swiftly breathe life into her character and leave us spellbound with her work.

Despite the excitement surrounding it, All’s Fair has encountered some snags. Initially, Halle Berry and Kim Kardashian were expected to appear together in the series, but scheduling complications prevented this from happening. As of now, a new actress to fill Berry’s role hasn’t been chosen yet, but I suspect there will be numerous accomplished actresses eager to collaborate with Ryan Murphy. Furthermore, it wouldn’t surprise me if many aspiring actors would leap at the opportunity to work alongside Glenn Close, an esteemed veteran in the industry.

As a gaming enthusiast, I’m eagerly waiting for the upcoming game “All’s Fair”. While we don’t have an exact release date yet, I’m confident that it will soon be accessible through Hulu with a subscription.
