After Loveyapa and Nadaaniyan, Khushi Kapoor wants to explore a different genre and you’ll be thrilled to know her choice; can you guess?

Khushi Kapoor started her acting career with the musical comedy “The Archies” and more recently appeared in romantic comedies like “Loveyapa” and “Nadaaniyan”. Now, she’s eager to venture into a new genre following her experience in these light-hearted films, expressing a desire for roles that are ‘darker.’

In her latest chat with Grazia India, Khushi Kapoor shared her fascination for the thriller-horror genre. She mentioned, “I’m intrigued to learn about the filmmaking process of a thriller-horror production; not necessarily full-on horror, but something a tad more ominous than my previous films.” The actress finds the idea of working on a ‘darker’ project quite appealing.

As a devotee of intense and passionate storylines, I too express my fondness for such scenes. I’d be thrilled to contribute to a cinematic project that spotlights these powerful themes more prominently.

Apart from discussing her characters in The Archies, Loveyapa, and Nadaaniyan, Khushi revealed she approached each role uniquely, even empathizing with them. She admitted that portraying Bani in Loveyapa was particularly challenging as she’s quite different from her real-life self.

As a lifestyle aficionado, allow me to share an exciting piece of news: In the not-so-distant future of 2025, I had the pleasure of witnessing a captivating Gen Z love story unfold on the big screen. Titled “Loveyapa,” this heartwarming tale features none other than Khushi Kapoor and Junaid Khan, son of the legendary Aamir Khan. The plot takes an intriguing twist when their characters decide to exchange phones for a day before committing to spend the rest of their lives together – a modern take on the age-old art of getting to know one another deeply.

The film is masterfully directed by Advait Chandan, who previously brought us the critically acclaimed “Laal Singh Chaddha.” On February 7, 2025, cinemas were abuzz as audiences flocked to witness this emotional rollercoaster of a movie that beautifully encapsulates the spirit of young love in today’s digital age.

“Nadaaniyan, released directly on Netflix, was the first appearance of Saif Ali Khan’s son, Ibrahim Ali Khan. In this film, Khushi portrayed Pia Jaisingh. The storyline revolved around Pia, a beloved rich girl, who hired Arjun, a student with career ambitions, to feign being her boyfriend after a misunderstanding caused her friends to turn against her.

Shauna Gautam, previously working alongside Karan Johar on the movie “Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani”, stepped into the director’s chair for the first time with the film titled “Nadaaniyan”. Notable actors such as Suniel Shetty, Mahima Chaudhry, Dia Mirza, and Jugal Hansraj played significant roles in this production.
