Production on Season 2 of “One Piece” is underway, and there’s plenty for fans to look forward to as the show continues to unveil exciting updates, making it even more enticing to stream via Netflix. The recent announcement that Joe Manganiello will portray Mr. 0 (also known as Crocodile) has left fans buzzing with anticipation. I’m personally excited to see this talented actor bring the legendary villain to life, and I can’t help but hope for a fateful encounter between him and one particular character.
With the recent sneak peek of Chopper in One Piece, there’s already an abundance to anticipate! Yet, my expectations run high considering the impressive castings like Katey Sagal as Dr. Kureha and David Dastmalchian as Mr. 3. Why stop there? Let’s aim for even greater surprises! If Crocodile appears in Season 2, wouldn’t it be exciting to see a brief encounter between him and Buggy?
I Need Crocodile And Buggy To Interact In Season 2
Captain Buggy has consistently been a memorable figure in the world of One Piece, but his significance was further emphasized in Netflix’s live-action rendition. Unlike his shorter stint in the original anime during the Arlong confrontation, this character lingered with the Straw Hats for an extended period. Given that he is likely to reappear as the Straw Hats traverse the Grand Line, the question arises: Will Buggy have an opportunity to interact with Baroque Works and its head, Mr. 0?
I’m really looking forward to more of Jeff Ward’s performance as Buggy in this live-action adaptation of “One Piece.” Given that this version is known for deviating from the anime/manga, it’s plausible we might see additional scenes featuring characters like Koby and Helmeppo. So, there’s a good chance we could see more of Buggy.
The Two Didn’t Meet Until Much Later In The Anime, But Cross Paths Later
It might be beneficial for Netflix to bring Crocodile and Buggy together earlier in their adaptation of One Piece. Although I won’t delve into specifics to avoid spoilers, they initially interact in the Impel Down arc and subsequently join forces in what is referred to as the “Cross Guild.” For those who haven’t reached that point in the manga or anime, I’ll leave it up to your imagination about its details. However, it’s worth mentioning that their joint appearance was announced during Jeff Ward and Joe Manganiello’s stage presentation.
It would be advantageous to include a scene where Buggy and Crocodile cross paths in the live-action series. Notably, Crocodile is recognized as one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea, which makes him a formidable and potentially dangerous character in the pirate world. Therefore, he should not be underestimated.
Buggy generally avoids situations he can’t handle, so encountering Crocodile would likely be unintentional. As for whether they’ll appear together in a scene, I’m not sure at the moment. However, if the series continues long enough, we might just witness that eventual meeting.
It’s probable that One Piece Season 2 will soon be available on Netflix in 2025. In the meantime, you can stay entertained by perusing all the shows planned for TV broadcast in 2024. Trust me, there’s an abundance of content to keep you busy before the new year rolls around!
