Kabir Khan and Katrina Kaif have worked together on several hit movies such as New York and Ek Tha Tiger. In addition to their professional relationship, they also enjoy a strong friendship off-screen. Earlier, there were rumors that Kabir would be working with Vicky Kaushal, Katrina’s husband, in the near future. Now, Kabir Khan has revealed some details about his upcoming projects.
During a chat with News 18, director Kabir Khan spoke about the buzz surrounding a possible partnership with Vicky Kaushal. He shared that he would welcome the opportunity to work with this talented actor, as their relationship extends beyond the confines of just a professional association.
Speaking highly of him as a “superb actor”, Kabir affectionately referred to Vicky as his family and expressed, “I have a very close bond with both Vicky and Katrina. I would genuinely enjoy working with him. While we directors and actors often exchange ideas, there’s no definite project in the works that I can confirm. However, I have been having discussions with him.” He disclosed this information.
The director of Ek Tha Tiger mentioned that he’s had discussions with Salman Khan as well, sharing that he often brainstorms with actors. He’s been doing the same with Kartik Aaryan recently. For now, though, he’s fully engrossed in developing a few concepts and savoring the immersive process.
He mentioned that he’s currently in what he refers to as the development stage. He’s been particularly enthusiastic about two or three concepts. To allow for proper nurturing of these ideas, he plans on taking a break of around six to seven months before moving forward with production. In his opinion, once you dive into production, there’s little time left for story development.
As a devoted admirer, I’m actively working on crafting these tales and am eagerly anticipating reaching a stage where I can proudly unveil my upcoming movie.
In terms of his career, Kabir Khan eagerly anticipates the premiere of his collective film project titled “My Melbourne,” which boasts three well-known directors – Imtiaz Ali, Onir, and Rima Das. The movie is set to debut in Australia, New Zealand, and Fiji on March 6, with an Indian release following suit on March 14.
