After The Bachelorette’s Hometown Dates, Fans All Have The Same Hilarious Reaction To One Of The Activities

As a seasoned gamer and avid Bachelorette fan, I’ve seen my fair share of bizarre dates over the years, but the running date on this week’s episode took the cake! I mean, who in their right mind plans a surprise run for a romantic date? I’m from Texas too, and let me tell you, it was already hotter than two suns outside when that one-mile run happened. I couldn’t help but cringe as Jenn Tran struggled to keep up with Devin Strader’s running group.

🚨 Attention! The following tale may disclose spoilers from the Hometown dates in the August 19th edition of The Bachelorette Season 21. If you haven’t watched it yet, feel free to catch up on Hulu, one of the excellent streaming platforms available.

As a dedicated fan, I’ve been thrilled to follow Jenn Tran’s global adventures on The Bachelorette since it hit our screens this season. From New Zealand to Australia, and even Seattle, we’ve journeyed together, experiencing exhilarating dates that included skydiving, bungee jumping, and hot-air balloon rides. But now, the days of high-flying adventures are over. Last week on August 19, Jenn was in the care of her final four suitors for Hometown dates, and oh boy, the atmosphere shifted dramatically! Bachelor Nation seemed to take particular notice of one activity, which sparked some fantastic social media reactions.

Devin Strater initiated the hometown visits on “The Bachelorette” by inviting the show to Houston, Texas, where he planned to introduce his family. Earlier, he set up a surprise for Jenn by having his running group unexpectedly join her. This turned out to be a run for one mile instead of a romantic date, which left some in Bachelor Nation unimpressed, with one person commenting:

It’s great that Jenn Tran appeared unfazed by the exercise disguised as a date, and spectators commended her sportsmanship for handling it so graciously. A Twitter user commented:

For Jenn Tran, running a mile might not have been too challenging given her passion for running similar to Devin Strader. However, we should remember that these scenes were filmed in late April or early May, when as a fellow Texan, I can confirm it was already quite warm outside. Additionally, Jenn appeared to be unaware of the specific activity, and one viewer commented:

The question arose as to whether Devin Strader’s date was superior or inferior to the one Jeremy Simon had arranged – a date that ended with Jenn Tran being sent home during the rose ceremony. Jeremy treated her to an unusual outing at Stew Leonard’s grocery store in Connecticut, where they danced alongside bizarre animatronic avocado characters that even the creators of Five Nights at Freddy’s might find hard to imagine.

To be honest, I initially thought otherwise, but upon reconsideration, it seems Bachelor Nation had a firm stance on which date turned out to be more disastrous. As another fan put it:

1) Memories of Stew Leonard’s hold a special place in my heart; it might just be Connecticut’s finest offering. To put it simply, going grocery shopping here is far more appealing than joining a running club on a date.

A viewer wondered if ‘The Bachelorette’ had overspent on their lengthy visit to Australia. Meanwhile, Jonathan Johnson prepared a lacrosse outing for Jenn Tran, while Marcus Shoberg skipped the date and instead brought ‘The Bachelorette’ directly to his circle of friends. It’s safe to say that many people in the country were less than impressed.

Use a planned group outing such as a fun run as a heads-up for unattached individuals contemplating unexpected events: It’s crucial to be absolutely certain before scheduling a fun run in your plans, or else you could encounter a less than favorable response.

As we leave our hometowns behind, I, as a dedicated Bachelor Nation fan, am eagerly anticipating the Fantasy Suites and the exciting adventures that Jenn Tran should undoubtedly experience during these Hawaiian escapades. The coming week will also feature the “Men Tell All” in a special two-night broadcast of The Bachelorette at 8 p.m. ET on August 26 and 27, airing on ABC. For those with a Hulu subscription, episodes can be streamed the following day.
