The interaction between Teen (Billy) and Agatha has certainly raised more questions than it answered. The way Billy’s anger at Agatha’s revelation about his origins hints at a deeper understanding of his past and abilities, making one wonder if he’s been manipulating Agatha all along.
Following the broadcast of the initial episode, Marvel enthusiasts eagerly awaited the disclosure of Joe Locke’s character identity in “Agatha All Along”. The closing scene of Episode 5 finally delivered the answer to who Locke was portraying. There was a theory that Teen could be Agatha Harkness’ (Kathryn Hahn) long-missing son, Nicholas Scratch. However, this theory persisted even after Episode 4, and Rio (Aubrey Plaza) clarified he was not Agatha’s son. In the latest episode that aired last night, the coven encountered their newest challenge, revealing more about Agatha and the spirits tormenting her.
Following the trial and demise of Alice Wu-Gulliver (Ali Ahn), a heated exchange occurs between Teen and Agatha, as she endeavors to clarify her unruly power. Teen challenges Agatha on what it signifies to be a witch, prompting her to mock him about his obscure past, implying that she’s been aware of his identity all along. Agatha remarks, “You’re so much like your mother,” which infuriates Teen, leading his powers to surface. He employs his power to manipulate Lilia Calderu (Patti LuPone) and Jennifer Kale (Sasheer Zamata), causing them to hurl Agatha and themselves into muddy quicksand.

Fans have been speculating about the enigma surrounding the character of Teen since his debut on the popular series, as his identity remains a secret due to a symbol being placed over his mouth whenever he tries to speak his name. This has led viewers on a quest to unravel this mystery. Clues have suggested that he could be Agatha’s son Nicholas Scratch, who she allegedly sacrificed for the Darkhold, or possibly Wanda’s child, Billy Maximoff, also known as Wiccan. However, Agatha’s attachment to Teen has left fans uncertain about his true identity. In Episode 5, it is revealed that Agatha has been aware of Teen’s real identity all along.
Following the intense exchange between Agatha and the Teen, the closing shot of the episode reveals the Teen adorning a blue crown, reminiscent of the red one worn by the Scarlet Witch. If that wasn’t a clear hint, the Teen’s magical abilities are blue, mirroring those of Billy from WandaVision. Congratulations to us fans for correctly identifying the Teen as Billy Kaplan, the reborn son of Wanda, Billy. In the comics, Billy is part of the Young Avengers and goes by the name Wiccan. What Will Teen/Billy’s Role Be in Agatha All Along?

Before Teen employs his powers to make Lilia and Jennifer hurl Agatha and himself into mud filled with sinking properties, Agatha discloses that she has been privy to Teen’s background all along. This revelation provokes anger in Teen, suggesting he too is aware of his origin story. Furthermore, it appears that Teen may have hidden aspects of his magical prowess, hinting at a potential manipulation of Agatha since the beginning. The episode concludes leaving us pondering what Teen’s ultimate goal is at the end of The Road and other lingering questions.
As the series approaches its final four episodes, fans eagerly anticipate if Teen/Billy’s character arc will be resolved, possibly culminating in a dramatic confrontation between Agatha and Teen. The recent revelations about his motives for The Road remain unclear, but it seems likely that he may aim to resurrect Wanda, a possibility hinted at in “Multiverse of Madness”.
The Scarlet Witch’s Return
