As a longtime fan of the incredible world that is Marvel and a devoted enthusiast of the hilarious, heartwarming universe of Parks and Recreation, I couldn’t be more thrilled about the upcoming Disney+ series Agatha All Along! The prospect of seeing Kathryn Hahn and Aubrey Plaza collaborate for the first time on screen is beyond exciting, especially after their memorable roles in Parks and Recreation.
On Monday, Kathryn Hahn and Aubrey Plaza unveiled their fresh Disney+ show titled “Agatha All Along” in the city of Los Angeles. Notably, a few distinguished visitors graced the event as well.
Amy Poehler and Adam Scott, their past colleagues from Parks and Recreation, made an appearance on the red carpet. They initially posed for pictures with Plaza before joining forces with Hahn at the press line. Notably, Poehler was seen capturing several photos herself, even managing to snap a selfie with both stars from the movie Agatha.

From 2009 to 2015, the beloved sitcom featured Poehler and Scott playing the roles of Leslie Knope and Ben Wyatt, a married couple, while Plaza portrayed April Ludgate, a disenchanted city employee, and Hahn regularly appeared as Jen Barkley, a savvy political figure based in Washington D.C.
Hahn shared with The Hollywood Reporter on the red carpet that collaborating with Plaza on the latest Marvel series was a long-cherished dream. Previously, we hadn’t shared any scenes together in ‘Parks and Rec’, I believe we only exchanged glances in hallways, but this being our first real collaboration was truly remarkable. I find her an exceptional actor, so getting the chance to act alongside her was an absolute joy.

In the sequel titled “Agatha All Along“, we follow Agatha Harkness (Hahn) as she sets off on a journey to regain her lost magical abilities and establish a fresh coven of witches. This series also boasts a significant musical component, inspired by the popularity of Hahn’s hit song “Agatha All Along” in WandaVision.\
From the outset, the creator of the show, Jac Schaeffer, envisioned this new series as a musical production. The idea was firmly established due to the immense success of Agatha’s song in WandaVision, coupled with Kathryn Hahn’s musical background and the opportunity to collaborate once more with songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez.

I must admit, the upcoming series seems to share many elements with “WandaVision”. It’s packed with unexpected plot twists, shrouded in mystery, and filled with surprising revelations. There’s a rich tapestry of genre references and nods to popular culture that will surely resonate with viewers. What sets it apart is its eerie, dark atmosphere and the complex nature of our main character, who isn’t always as virtuous as we might hope. Just like “WandaVision”, I appreciate the blurring of lines between good and evil. After all, everyone has a bit of darkness within them, though Agatha may just be a tad more wicked than kind.
The show underwent three name transformations before adopting its present title. Earlier iterations were known as “Agatha: House of Harkness”, “Agatha: Coven of Chaos”, and “Agatha: Darkhold Diaries”.
Regarding the final product, Hahn stated that her character was the mastermind behind it all – from the name alterations to every other aspect. She seemed to possess a dominant leading role throughout, in my opinion.
Beginning this Wednesday, you can stream the show titled Agatha All Along on Disney+. This series features the talents of Joe Locke, Sasheer Zamata, Patti LuPone, Ali Ahn, and Debra Jo Rupp.
