Ahead Of Julie Chrisley’s Resentencing, The Prison Bureau Responds To Reports About Her Not Being In Its Custody

As a seasoned gamer and avid follower of reality TV drama, I must admit, the twists and turns in the Chrisley family saga are keeping me hooked! It feels like an endless episode of “Prison Break” meets “Chrisley Knows Best.”

As a devoted fan, I’ve been following Todd and Julie Chrisley’s legal journey over the past few years, with their cases involving bank fraud. Recently, their oral arguments were heard during the spring season. Since then, it appears that Julie’s sentence was overturned, and she’s scheduled for resentencing in late September. However, rumors have been swirling about Julie’s whereabouts as of late. It has been claimed that she is no longer under the supervision of the prison bureau at this time. In response to these reports, the relevant organization has issued a statement on the subject matter.

As a gamer, I’ve just learned something intriguing about the former star of Chrisley Knows Best. Contrary to rumors, it appears she’s not under the supervision of the Federal Bureau of Prisons at this moment. Now, I don’t have precise details on her whereabouts from the bureau itself, but they did hint at some exceptional circumstances that could explain why a convicted person might not be in their custody. It’s like finding a hidden secret in my favorite video game!

There are various situations where someone might not be considered under the Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP) custody anymore. For instance, if an inmate served their sentence partially within the FBOP and still has unserved time, they may temporarily leave FBOP custody for court appearances, medical care, or other necessary purposes.

Approximately a year ago, following allegations by their daughter Savannah about the living conditions of her incarcerated parents, the prison authority released a statement concerning the Chrisleys’ convictions. Savannah had accused her parents of not having air conditioning in their prisons and later claimed that Julie was keeping snakes in her cell. Although the bureau did not offer specific details in its response, it did confirm that providing air conditioning is one of the amenities given to prisoners.

As a gamer speaking about my personal situation, I was convicted of bank fraud, tax evasion, and other charges alongside my spouse Todd and our accountant, Peter Tarantino, in 2022. For my actions, I was given a seven-year prison sentence and reported to the Lexington Medical Center in Kentucky at the start of 2023. Since then, both our sentences have been reduced, with mine eventually being cut down to five years.

Ahead Of Julie Chrisley’s Resentencing, The Prison Bureau Responds To Reports About Her Not Being In Its Custody

Amidst Julie and Todd Chrisley serving their prison terms on separate occasions during their anniversary, their daughter Savannah Chrisley expresses feelings of guilt about the frequency of her visits: “I feel I should be there more often.”

By June 2024, a decision was made by the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals to overturn Mrs. Chrisley’s initial sentence. A panel of three judges determined that there wasn’t enough evidence to prove Julie played a part in the financial crimes committed. However, Todd Chrisley and Peter Tarantino’s sentences remained unchanged. Despite his predicament, Todd seems content with how Julie’s case turned out, as Savannah mentioned on her Unlocked podcast.

After Julie Chrisley’s conviction was overturned, both Savannah Chrisley and family lawyer Jay Surgent have shared their thoughts on the matter. Surgent emphasized that the decision is a significant one and expressed optimism that Julie may be released from prison as soon as next spring or summer. However, he also suggested that there’s a chance Julie could have 1-2 years shaved off her sentence. Later, Savannah expressed a more ambitious plan, stating her intention to bring her mother home for Thanksgiving.

It’s uncertain if Julie Chrisley will be back home by November, but her resentencing is scheduled for September 25th. In the meantime, it appears she may need to attend a court hearing on that date, as directed by the judge.
