Ahead Of The Bachelorette Finale, Rumors Are Circulating About Jenn Tran's Relationship Status, But I Have An Alternate Taylor Swift-Based Theory

As a seasoned gamer of Bachelor Nation, I’ve seen my fair share of unexpected twists and turns, and let me tell you, this Jenn Tran season has been one rollercoaster ride! With the finale just around the corner, the rumors are swirling faster than a Taylor Swift music video.

This tale is devoid of spoilers, but if you’re interested, here are some rumors regarding the alleged ending of Jenn Tran’s season.

In an unusual decision, ABC is choosing to broadcast the three-hour finale of The Bachelorette Season 21 on Tuesday instead of its usual Monday time slot in the 2024 TV schedule. This change hasn’t dampened fans’ enthusiasm for guessing how Jenn Tran’s story unfolds in the final stretch. There’s a buzz that the physician assistant student doesn’t end up with either Devin Strader or Marcus Shoberg, the last two men who weren’t eliminated by Jenn throughout the season. However, I have another theory, and it centers around Taylor Swift.

What Are The Rumors Regarding Jenn Tran’s Ending?

It appears that throughout Season 21 of “The Bachelorette,” there have been hints about Jenn Tran not getting engaged to anyone by the end of the season, and as we approach the September 3 finale, this theory seems increasingly plausible. Fans of “Bachelor Nation” are speculating on Reddit that something might be going on between Jenn and Jonathon Johnson, her third-place finisher, due to their flirtatious exchange during “Men Tell All,” along with reports that she’s been commenting on his Instagram posts.

Additionally, there’s much discussion about her possibly remaining in a relationship with either Devin Strader or Marcus Shoberg following the show. Furthermore, there’s speculation that she may have gotten engaged but later on, it’s rumored that the engagement (which is said to have been filmed on May 16) has since ended.

Regarding spoilers, Reality Steve is generally reliable, but during his September 2nd podcast, he stated that although there’s speculation, he himself hasn’t received any confirmation either way on the matter.

The Taylor Swift-Based Reason I Think Jenn Tran Is Engaged

With all of the uncertainty that appears to be plaguing the final three players on The Bachelorette Season 21, my theory is that Jenn Tran will get engaged and stay engaged, and it was none other than Taylor Swift that helped me come to that conclusion. All season, Jenn has been pairing her episodes with a Swift song — “Sparks Fly (Taylor’s Version)” for the premiere, “Jump Then Fall (Taylor’s Version)” when she went bungeed off a building with Sam McKinney, etc — and I think her finale choices provide a clue to her ending. Ahead of the finale, Jenn posted to her Instagram Stories:

Apart from her query about the song symbolizing the The Bachelorette finale, she shared verses from the track “Lover.” This choice seems unusual if she’s planning to disclose a major breakup on September 3. However, in characteristic Taylor Swift fashion, Jenn Tran posted another image showcasing another finale dress adorned with various lyrics by Taylor Swift:

What in the Swiftie easter egg is going on here?!

In a different phrasing: Instead of solely focusing on the “Lover” album, let’s examine the lyrics from the song “Daylight.” I find it intriguing that the word “golden” appears in both. Could it be that Joan Vassos is taking over, with her show “The Golden Bachelorette” premiering September 18? Or, could it be that one of these songs refers to the season finale, while the other is for “After the Final Rose”? Is Jenn Tran as ingenious and strategic in her approach as Taylor Swift is regarded?

Fortunately, we won’t have to wait much longer for the solutions to all our questions (except perhaps that last one). The finale of The Bachelorette Season 21 airs at 8 p.m. ET on Tuesday, September 3, on ABC. If you miss it, you can stream it the next day with a Hulu subscription.
