- Collect DC heroes and villains from across the multiverse
- Build your own Batcave
- Don’t let The Batman Who Laughs get the last laugh
Greetings and welcome to Ahead of Time Gaming Scoop! Here, we give you an exclusive sneak peek into a game that’s not yet released but already playable at the time of our publication. Join us as we delve into these games before they officially hit the market, whether it’s through Soft Launch, Beta Testing, Demos, or other means.
It seems like nothing but hard luck for Batman, doesn’t it? He already battles the madcap Clown Prince of Crime in his own world, and now he faces an adversary who is both the Joker and Batman rolled into one!
In a nutshell, the Dark Legion has assigned you the task of saving the world once more, this time against The Batman Who Laughs – a villain who, despite being a Batman variant, has a deeply saddening past as depicted in the Dark Nights: Metal series. Your mission now involves constructing a strategy-game version of the Batcave and gathering hero shards to summon characters from DC comics to aid you in your fight for survival.
Enhancing and improving various sections within the Batcave will grant unique advantages to your characters, making it crucial to ensure everything functions optimally. This way, your heroes won’t find themselves defenseless in challenging situations.
Instead of creating something entirely new in terms of gameplay, I must admit that I find the one-handed controls quite intriguing. With a simple tap, you can traverse the city while the game automatically engages in fights against smaller enemies on your path, enabling you to focus on reaching the main antagonists.
Here, the concept of random selection (gacha elements) is quite prevalent, yet what truly appeals to me is how spot-on the characters’ individualities are portrayed.
As a fan of DC Comics, I appreciate that the characters, both heroes and villains, are portrayed authentically, with their dialogues and witty remarks mirroring their personalities as depicted in the comics. This authenticity might be due to the fact that the game holds an official DC license, which allows for even the inclusion of villains as potential allies on your team.
To be honest, I don’t usually enjoy the base-building aspect of strategy games. However, since we’re talking about the Batcave and my inner Batman enthusiast can’t help but get excited, I’m ready to jump into the fray!
So, how do you play DC: Dark Legion?
DC: Dark Legion just entered soft launch last December 27th, so if you’re an Android player based in Australia, Brazil, Canada, England, France, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, Philippines, Portugal, and Spain, you too can take up your sword (or Batarang) and join in on all the multiversal mayhem.
