AI Thriller ‘Companion’ Unveils Streaming Release on Max: Get Ready for the Ultimate Shock!

This year’s critically acclaimed movie titled “Companion” will soon be available for streaming. Led by Sophie Thatcher and Jack Quaid, this AI-centric thriller tells the story of a couple on a weekend trip with friends that takes an unexpected turn when it is discovered one of them is actually a companion robot. The film has received exceptional reviews, boasting a 94% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, making it one of the standout movies of the year so far.

Warner Bros. Discovery has announced that the movie “Companion” will be available worldwide on Max starting April 18th. On April 19th at 8:00 PM Eastern Time, the film will also air on HBO. With a production budget of $10 million, “Companion” was a big hit at the box office, earning $36.7 million globally. Although a sequel hasn’t been officially confirmed yet, the director has already thought about potential storylines for a second installment. If “Companion” becomes popular on streaming platforms, it would be surprising if a sequel wasn’t announced at some point in the future.

The movie titled “Companion” was helmed by director Drew Hancock, who previously worked on “My Dead Ex”. The production team behind this project is none other than the talented quartet from “Barbarian” – Zach Cregger, Raphael Margules, J.D. Lifshitz, and Roy Lee. Alongside them, Tracy Rosenblum and Jamie Buckner served as executive producers.

The star-studded cast includes Thatcher, recognized for his role in “Yellowjackets”, Quaid from “The Boys”. Other notable actors in the supporting roles are Lukas Gage (“Smile 2”), Megan Suri (“Never Have I Ever”), Harvey Guillén (“What We Do in the Shadows”), and Rupert Friend (“Asteroid City”).

More to come.
