As a seasoned gamer with an eye for sneakers and a heart for streetwear, I can hardly contain my excitement over Aimé Leon Dore’s Fall/Winter 2024 preview! The tantalizing glimpse of those two potential New Balance 997s has me on the edge of my gaming chair.
As a dedicated fan, I’m thrilled about Teddy Santis’ Aimé Leon Dore’s sneak peek into their Fall/Winter 2024 collection! Mach-Hommy is the chosen one to showcase what we can anticipate from this iconic brand next season. Although the full line will unveil this week, there are some exciting additions slated for release later in the year, such as potentially two ALD-designed New Balance 997s that are featured in the lookbook.
Santis continues to partner closely with New Balance, overseeing their MADE in USA division, while also working together on projects. Meanwhile, ALD is readying the 990v4 for fall, but we have two more 997 releases to look forward to. Interestingly, one of these pairs, shown in the gallery above, seems to be a repeat from Santis and New Balance’s first collaboration project in 2019, dubbed the “Yellow Tongue” pair. Whether this is a reissue or just a reference isn’t clear yet. As for the other design, it features an olive-colored 997 with maroon, navy, and more yellow accents on the upper, collar, and Made in USA tongue, mimicking its predecessor.
Currently, neither Aimé Leon Dore nor New Balance have revealed when their collaborative 997 models will be released or if they are part of a joint project. Keep an eye out for updates, including images of both pairs, as we anticipate them to hit the market in the upcoming months through New Balance and select retailers, with an estimated price point around $200 USD.
