Last year around Diwali, Ajay Devgn starred in the movie “Singham Again,” which was highly anticipated. Directed by Rohit Shetty, it marked the fifth installment in the cop universe. The film received a mixed reception from audiences. More recently, Ajay Devgn acknowledged the public’s dissatisfaction with the development of his character, Bajirao Singham, and promised that the creators would consider audience feedback when working on future projects.
In a captivating interview with Zee Real Heroes Awards 2025 on India.com, I, Ajay Devgn, was posed an intriguing question about the nuanced portrayal of my character Bajirao Singham as compared to my previous roles. The host reminisced about the robust Singham, famously known for dishing out justice through forceful encounters with villains and exhilarating action sequences. However, in this latest rendition, I chose to delve deeper into the complexities of the character, offering a more layered and profound performance.
In reaction to this, Devgn acknowledged the error and shared that he’s heard similar criticism from numerous individuals. Consequently, they are determined to portray the character accurately in their future movies, taking this feedback into account.
He mentioned that the response he got was quite common among many people. Therefore, they will make sure that the intense action and authentic feel of Singham remains in the upcoming movie as well.
Approximately two months following its initial cinema screening, the creators of Singham Again unveiled its online premiere on Amazon Prime Video. This movie was previously shown last year on the festival of lights, Diwali 2024, in November.
As an ardent movie enthusiast, I can’t help but share the thrilling news: Based on TopMob’s meticulous analysis, the action-packed cop flick I adore has raked in a staggering Rs 240 crore net at the Indian box office! Despite squaring off against Kartik Aaryan’s chilling comedy, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, it’s clear that my favorite movie held its ground and triumphed!
Under Ajay Devgn’s leadership, a stellar cast graced the screen, featuring Kareena Kapoor, Tiger Shroff, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Akshay Kumar, Arjun Kapoor, and Jackie Shroff in key roles.
On the work side of things, Ajay will make his next appearance in Raid 2, sharing the screen with Vaani Kapoor. This movie is helmed by Rajkumar Gupta and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak, and Krishna Kumar. The release date for this project is set for May 1, 2025. Additionally, Ajay has De De Pyaar 2 lined up as well.
