In 2024, Akshay Kumar appeared in numerous movies. Regrettably, none of them made a favorable impression at the box office. Upon examining his body of work, some people suggested that the reason for his films’ failure was their repetitiveness. In response to this critique, actor Ram Kapoor pointed out that it’s simpler to pass judgment from an external perspective. Continue reading!
Last year, Akshay Kumar starred in three movies: Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Sarfira, and Khel Khel Mein. Unfortunately, these films didn’t meet the expected success. In a recent interview with Siddharth Kannan, renowned actor Ram Kapoor was questioned whether Khiladi Kumar’s films were failing due to repetitiveness in his roles.
In simpler terms, the actor from Humshakals offered his thoughts about the subject, saying, “It’s simple for someone on the outside to understand.” He then explained that it’s common for both Akshay and others to agree on multiple projects years ahead, often because they don’t have many other options.
In this line of work, everyone understands that maintaining proper industry relationships is crucial. If a director or producer with whom an actor has collaborated before proposes a new project, it wouldn’t be appropriate to turn them down. This is because it’s important to maintain the professional rapport and not suddenly appear ungrateful or dismissive by declining their next offer.
Therefore, they accept the projects and will be occupied for the following few years, much like an actor who signs movies ahead of time often provides dates that are several years away. In essence, this is a common practice among them all. To put it another way, unfortunately, we might find it repetitive, but he has agreed to a 5-year commitment, leaving him no choice but to follow through with it. Ram Kapoor expressed his thoughts on the matter in this manner.
In terms of his professional life, Akshay Kumar will soon appear in the film “Sky Force,” directed by Sandeep Kewlani and Abhishek Kapur. He’ll be joined by Sara Ali Khan and Veer Pahariya on the big screen. The movie is set to hit theaters on January 24, 2025.
