Akshay Kumar's Khel Khel Mein director Mudassar Aziz reveals he watched Garam Masala when he was 'little boy'; Says I 'laughed my lungs out'

As a lifestyle expert with a keen eye for the cinematic world, I must say that Akshay Kumar and Mudassar Aziz’s collaboration in Khel Khel Mein is nothing short of a dream come true. Having grown up watching Khiladi Kumar on the big screen, it’s heartwarming to see this journey from theater-goer to collaborator.

Akshay Kumar and director Mudassar Aziz recently teamed up on the movie Khel Khel Mein. In a recent interview, the filmmaker looked back on his journey – from being a kid in the audience watching Khiladi Kumar’s films, to eventually getting the chance to work with him. He reminisced about going to see Garam Masala and having a great time.

In an interview with India Today, Mudassar Aziz reminisced about his childhood experience of watching Garam Masala in a cinema, where he “had a fit of laughter that emptied my lungs.” Looking back on the path from that moment to meeting Akshay Kumar personally and now collaborating with him, Aziz described it as an “incredibly enjoyable journey.” He also commented that Akshay Kumar is not only perceptive, intelligent, but also highly aware.

Regarding Kumar, the filmmaker stated that while such negative gossip certainly reaches his ears, it doesn’t mean he disregards it thoughtlessly. Instead, he takes note of what people say about him, even though it may not necessarily influence his future decisions, he remains cautious and considers it carefully.

Previously, during our conversation with TopMob, the actor from OMG 2 shared insights on how he handles online critics and negativity. He explained that it depends on the source of the criticism. “What’s their history, what have they accomplished in life?” was his take, suggesting that there are various forms of critique.

In other words, he clarified, “One type is a negative personal comment, where someone attacks personally. The other is constructive feedback, offered sincerely to help the person grow. I appreciate the latter because I can grasp its meaning, act upon it, and have indeed made improvements based on such feedback. When criticism resonates with me, makes sense, and offers valuable insights, I am open to making changes.

Simultaneously, regarding his professional endeavors, Akshay Kumar is gearing up to act alongside Nimrat Kaur and Sara Ali Khan in Sky Force. The upcoming war film directed by Abhishek Anil Kapur and Sandeep Kewlani is set to premiere in cinemas on October 2.
