As a gamer who’s been around the block a few times and has a deep appreciation for pop culture, I must say, Albino & Preto’s latest Jiu-Jitsu capsule inspired by Bob Marley is a masterstroke! Growing up listening to reggae tunes and playing martial arts games, this collection strikes a chord with me.
Following the launch of their SpongeBob SquarePants line, Albino & Preto has returned with a fresh Jiu-Jitsu assortment. This time around, the lifestyle brand has introduced its newest collection, which takes inspiration from reggae legend Bob Marley.
Typically, the assortment encompasses martial arts training gear and everyday clothing. To honor Bob Marley’s cultural impact, designs feature his iconic reggae symbols and photo images throughout. Red, green, yellow, along with black and white are the main colors in this collection. Notably, the tri-color stripe is present along the sleeves and legs of the martial arts uniform.
As a gamer, I’ve got to give a shout-out to the standout item in my gaming wardrobe – the two-tone varsity jacket. One sleeve flaunts a sleek red, leather-like finish, while the other is a dark green that completes the look. Each sleeve sports cool appliqué patches, and when you bring them together, they spell out “ONE LOVE.” On the back of this bad boy, there’s an eye-catching tufted and embroidered Bob Marley patch with an intricate design. The letter “O” in his name forms a powerful image of a raised arm holding up the Rasta flag, symbolizing the legendary Bob Marley as a Rastafarian icon.
