Amazon Prime Video is set to excite viewers with its upcoming original series called “Ziddi Girls.” Today, the trailer for this eight-part series was unveiled. Following the release, Alia Bhatt and Anil Kapoor expressed their excitement on social media about Atiya Tara Nayak, who will be making her debut in the series.
On the 17th of February, Alia Bhatt shared the trailer for Ziddi Girls on her Instagram stories and expressed her anticipation. She particularly mentioned her eagerness to see Atiya Tara Nayak shine in the show as its trailer was released. Alia ended her statement with a blue heart emoji and a note saying, “Can’t wait to see you sparkle @atiyataranayak.” Meanwhile, veteran actor Anil Kapoor also displayed his enthusiasm by sharing the trailer on his Instagram stories too.

Today’s afternoon saw the launch of the Ziddi Girls trailer on various social media outlets, including February 17th. The trailer suggests that the teen drama revolves around Matilda House College, an institution steeped in tradition but also facing inevitable change.
Change unfolds when a courageous, innovative generation emerges to question established traditions, championing their convictions. The campus transforms into a battleground of ideas as ambition and opposition collide, stirring up tension. However, the show also delves into themes of humor, genuine connections, and camaraderie.
The upcoming series will be helmed by Shonali Bose, Neha Veena Sharma, and Vasant Nath. Starring in principal roles are Simran, Nandita Das, Nandish Singh Sandhu, Lillete Dubey, and Revathy. Newcomers Atiya Tara Nayak, Umang Bhadana, Zaina Ali, Deeya Damini, and Anupriya Caroli will also be featured in this production.
On February 27, 2025, I’m thrilled to share that a series I was involved with, produced by Pritish Nandy under his company, Pritish Nandy Communications Ltd, will be available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
Soon, Alia Bhatt and Anil Kapoor will appear together in Shiv Rawail’s upcoming movie, Alpha, alongside Sharvari as the main character. This marks the first female-led YRF Spy Universe film, set to hit theaters on Christmas day, specifically December 25, 2025.
