As a seasoned observer of the Bollywood saga, I must confess that witnessing Mahesh Bhatt’s transition from a doting father to a proud grandfather has been nothing short of enchanting. The man who once kept his eyes fixed on his children now finds himself captivated by the tiny tot, Raha Kapoor.
Mahesh Bhatt is experiencing the delight of becoming a grandfather following the arrival of Raha Kapoor. Previously, his focus had been solely on his children, but now he finds himself drawn to the baby, an experience he considers both normal and touching. In a recent conversation with India Today, the director of Sadak expressed admiration for Alia Bhatt as a mother and suggested which film Raha should watch first.
On November 6, 2022, Raha was born to the famous duo Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. Speaking about this, Mahesh Bhatt shared, “Ever since I became a grandfather, I’ve begun to see human stories from a fresh perspective.” He admitted that he is still in awe of his grandchild and their accomplishments, and has yet to fully adjust to this new phase in life.
Discussing the amazing side of motherhood he’s witnessing, Bhatt stated, “Alia is not just a remarkable actress, but she’s also an outstanding mom.” The director went on to describe Raha as a ‘heaven-sent’ surprise that left everyone spellbound. In a heartfelt tone, he admitted, “To put it bluntly, my attention has shifted towards the grandchild. I find myself adoring her just a bit more than my own daughter.”
When asked about which film he would recommend for Raha to watch first, Mahesh Bhatt, the seasoned director, suggested “Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin”, a movie he believes Raha should see when she matures into a young girl around 16 years old. This film was initially released in 1991 and starred Aamir Khan and Mahesh Bhatt’s eldest daughter, Pooja Bhatt.
As per the filmmaker, that movie is incredibly touching, with Pooja’s performance being absolutely exceptional, and Aamir delivering a truly impressive performance. Bhatt believes that Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin is a film that captures the essence of human emotions, making it an ideal choice for Raha’s first cinematic experience.
