Alia Bhatt’s half-brother, Rahul Bhatt, is born to veteran filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt and Kiran Bhatt, with Pooja Bhatt as another sibling. In the 90s, a magazine cover featured a photo of his father and sister sharing a kiss on the lips, sparking much debate. More recently, Rahul has expressed his thoughts about that controversial photoshoot.

In an exclusive interview with TopMob’s Hindi Rush, Rahul Bhatt opened up about his professional and family ties. When asked about the contentious photoshoot of his father Mahesh Bhatt and sister Pooja Bhatt from the 90s, Rahul Bhatt remarked, “I would have been around 13 or 14 years old at that time.

He also pointed out, “Kids from film families can either be extremely troubled or extremely resilient. To be honest, in many aspects, I don’t see much of a difference… We are well aware, after all, this is what we’ve witnessed since our childhood…death threats, IT raids, rallies, and so on… It seems like you believe we would notice a difference.

Bhatt elaborated his idea by saying, “You can achieve a positive immunity without sacrificing your humanity. This doesn’t make me bitter, but rather, I am improved, not compromised… These photos you see here remind me of the childhood lessons where people were warned, ‘Don’t speak to him or he might harm you, and if you do talk, he might really harm you.’ So, that was when I adjusted my self-proclaimed rules.

For those unfamiliar, Rahul Bhatt is a well-known fitness instructor and actor. He had a stint on the popular yet contentious reality TV series, Bigg Boss Season 4.
