‘Alien: Romulus’ Star Archie Renaux Teams With Arjun Rose to Launch Production Company A2R2

As a seasoned gamer who’s been through countless virtual worlds and real-life adventures, I can’t help but feel a sense of excitement and admiration when I see two talents like Archie Renaux and Arjun Rose joining forces to create A2R2. Their journey from the classroom to the big screen is a testament to the power of friendship, passion, and perseverance.

Star Archie Renaux from the Romulus system’s Alien planet has returned to Earth, eager to embark on a fresh project – a production company in collaboration with Arjun Rose. Instead of scouring the globe for a suitable name, they decided to label their new endeavor A2R2.

In 2016, Renaux initially encountered Rose at The Unseen, a combined acting academy and talent management company that Rose established. Being one of the initial students to step through its doors, Renaux soon developed a relationship with Rose, which started as a teacher-student dynamic but eventually evolved into a professional role as manager, friend, and supporter during Renaux’s pursuit of an acting career and his acquisition of additional representation from The Artists Partnership.

Renaux expressed his excitement about elevating their collaboration. “Our journey started in a classroom, where Arjun was penning and directing scenes that I was acting out, and we filmed them together on an iPhone,” the actor, famously seen in Shadow and Bone, explained. “Now, we’re moving forward, channeling that same enthusiasm and ingenuity into producing movies on a grander scale. I take immense pride in my acting achievements over the past few years, and I’m genuinely thrilled to elevate our filmmaking artistry to new heights with this new project.

Rose expressed, “It’s a wonderful realization to work together on projects that ignite our deepest passions. This collaboration gives us an opportunity not just to delve into imaginative narratives but also strengthen the bond we’ve nurtured over the past eight years. I can hardly contain my enthusiasm for what lies ahead.

As a passionate fan, I’m excited to share that my upcoming roster boasts the intriguing feature film “Tolle.” Written by the brilliant mind of Rose, it promises to be a gripping murder mystery that delves into the complex relationship between humanity and technology. This thought-provoking tale will challenge our understanding of truth, consciousness, and the legal systems of tomorrow. The talented duo of Renaux and Rose will produce this project, while the esteemed Dr. Daniel Hulme, an influential figure in artificial intelligence, will join us as executive producer. I can hardly wait to see this masterpiece unfold!

Renaux takes center stage in Gulfstream’s romantic comedy-drama, “Falling,” alongside K.J. Apa and Isabel May. His previous works include “Upgraded” with Camilla Mendes, “The Greatest Beer Run Ever” featuring Russell Crowe, Bill Murray, and Zac Efron, Lena Dunham’s “Catherine Called Birdy”, Marvel’s “Morbius” with Jared Leto, “Voyagers” opposite Lily-Rose Depp and Tye Sheridan, and “The Jetty.” Renaux first gained recognition through his roles in the series “Hanna” alongside Esme Creed-Miles, Mireille Enos, and Joel Kinnaman, as well as “Gold Digger” with Julia Ormond and Ben Barnes.

Previously a futures trader, Rose shifted gears into filmmaking with the movie “Demons Never Die”. This marked his first directorial role, having penned the script himself. The production attracted Idris Elba, who joined as an executive producer. In the realm of short films, Sadhbh, which Rose produced, earned a Ros Hubbard Award at the Irish Film Festival for its lead actress, Laura Whitmore. Rose has also been involved in projects with Working Title and Lionsgate, and co-created the London event Laughing Boy. At The Unseen, he’s been working closely with British actor Solly McLeod. As a producer, Rose previously teamed up with entrepreneur Sonny Schneider to establish Schneider Media Investments.
