10 Shows Like Yellowjackets And How To Watch Them
Pondering over the climax of Season 2 of Yellowjackets, you might remember a whirlwind of intense events. In the flashback timeline, Natalie (Sophie Thatcher) emerged as the new leader of the high school soccer team stranded in the wilderness, and they lost their shelter due to a fire in their cabin after being deserted by Coach Ben (Steven Krueger). On the other hand, in the current timeline, Natalie (Juliette Lewis) was given a fatal dose of phenobarbital, while the investigation into Adam Martin’s murder took a significant twist with Walter Tattersall (Elijah Wood) fatally striking Detective Matt Saracusa (John Reynolds).
Without a doubt, the upcoming season of Yellowjackets promises plenty of tension and struggles for the characters, making the anticipation for it seem endless.
Viewers may recall that the TV series “Yellowjackets” was given a head start for Season 3 in December 2022, even before the debut of Season 2. However, the progress was hampered due to writers’ and actors’ strikes by the WGA and SAG-AFTRA in 2023. Luckily, production on the new episodes resumed in May, and we’re nearly three months away from witnessing the fruits of everyone’s labor.
Ashley Lyle, a co-creator of Yellowjackets, hinted that Season 3 will blend past and present events, offering an intriguing narrative twist along with handling the chaos mentioned earlier. Excitingly, Joel McHale from Community and Hilary Swank, a multiple Oscar winner, have been confirmed to join the cast. Similar to the first two seasons, this new installment will consist of 10 episodes.
If you’re eager to catch up on the hit series Yellowjackets before the upcoming season, you can stream Season 1 on Netflix (as long as you have an active Netflix account). For access to all 10 episodes of Season 2, consider signing up for a Paramount+ with Showtime subscription.
