If this is indeed the final special Nintendo Direct for the original Switch, it concluded on a high point.

So, without further ado, here are all the games announced during this week’s Nintendo Direct:

Dragon Quest 1 & 2 HD-2D Remake

Following its appearance after the enhanced version of the third game, Dragon Quest 1 & 2 HD-2D Remake maintains the tradition of showcasing these timeless JRPGs with stunning graphics. The visual improvement of these games from the Octopath Traveller series is truly remarkable on Nintendo Switch, making it a spectacle to behold.

Initially, we thought the remake would stick closely to the original, but the final scenes of the trailer hint at fresh characters joining the fray. The exact role they’ll play in the storyline remains unclear, but introducing new elements into a remake is always exciting.

Dragon Quest 1 & 2 HD-2D Remake is scheduled for a 2025 release.

No Sleep for Kaname Date: AI Somnium Files

As a passionate gamer, I was thrilled not to be tethered to the usual AAA releases during this Nintendo Direct. Instead, they unveiled an entirely fresh title from the Somnium series, which leans heavily on AI gameplay. In this intriguing adventure, I’ll find myself in the shoes of a new protagonist named Dante, who employs his AI abilities to rescue an idol from perilous space-bound death traps as we delve into the mystery at hand.

Enthusiasts of the show are bound to be thrilled by the enhanced graphics and chaotic ambiance. Investigating idols by subjecting them to digital scenarios in an attempt to solve this puzzle is quite intriguing, let me tell you.

Atlus is reviving the Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner series with a fresh remaster, now titled as Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army. Originally known as Devil Summoner: Raidou Kuzunoha Vs. The Soulless Army, we’re unsure which name is more straightforward to pronounce.

Regardless of specific titles, it’s a beloved spin-off from the Shin Megami Tensei series that fans are thrilled about its revival, as this game originally released on PlayStation 2. Here’s hoping this sparks more re-releases for other sub-series such as Digital Devil Saga.

In the initial unveiling of Amazon’s Secret Level series, this eerie reinterpretation of Pac-Man captivated many onlookers. We now have additional insights into the intriguing world of Shadow Labyrinth, and it’s clear that it offers a distinctive Metroidvania experience with a haunting theme.
