Payal admitted, “To tell you the truth, I’m not sure what could cause a transformation. What we really require is a restructuring within the industry, chances for individual filmmakers to shine, funding they can access through grants, or perhaps a supportive network.
In addition to discussing the financial difficulties, the filmmaker pointed out that distributing movies can be equally tough. Despite her success in working with a media firm, many other directors face similar challenges.
Payal Kapadia additionally shared her thoughts about collaborating with a large film studio, stressing that it’s premature to contemplate such matters at this stage. Moreover, she emphasized that independent films require significant effort and resources, which usually allows for greater creative freedom in their production.
