As a seasoned gamer with a knack for survival games and a passion for sustainability, I find myself intrigued by the latest collaboration between Allday Goods and Outsiders Store. The vibrant green pocket knife, inspired by the Higonokami, promises to be a versatile tool for all my outdoor adventures – whether it’s foraging, climbing, or setting up camp.
In collaboration with retailer Outsiders Store, eco-friendly British kitchen knife maker Allday Goods has unveiled a fresh pocket knife. Renowned for their sustainable approach to crafting knives from recycled plastic, this latest model showcases vibrant shades of green and yellow.
Allday Goods and Outsiders Store drew inspiration from the classic Japanese Higonokami pocket knife, which originated in the late 1890s. As they often do, these brands claim their knives are crafted using repurposed materials, suitable for a wide range of tasks such as foraging or cutting ropes.
Crafted domestically in England, this item showcases the Allday Goods and Outsiders Store emblems on its handle, while the knife arrives in a whimsical package decorated with sketchy illustrations.
According to Allday Goods founder, Hugo Worsley, the goal was to design a versatile knife ideal for outdoor activities. A pocket-friendly folding knife that’s always at hand whether you’re scaling cliffs, gathering wild produce, camping, or tending to your garden. He believed there was no better partner for this project than Outsiders Store.
On Saturday, September 28, the knife is scheduled to debut at an enthusiastic gathering happening at the Outsiders Store in Kings Cross, London. During this event, not only will they be offering exclusive T-shirts and water bottles for sale, but there will also be a live knife-making demonstration taking place.
