Alpha to Love & War: Alia Bhatt's exciting lineup of upcoming movies to look forward to

As a lifestyle expert with a deep appreciation for the world of cinema, I must say that Alia Bhatt is truly a force to be reckoned with in Bollywood. Her ability to seamlessly transition between intense dramas and light-hearted entertainers is nothing short of remarkable, making her one of the most versatile actresses in the industry today.

Alia Bhatt, a highly adaptable and financially successful Bollywood actress, remains at the top with her outstanding performances and varied array of upcoming projects. Recognized for her effortless switching between deep dramas and amusing comedies, Alia has solidified her status as a powerful performer.

From her breakthrough role in Student of the Year to critically acclaimed films like Raazi and Gangubai Kathiawadi, she has consistently proven her mettle as an actress who can carry a film on her shoulders.

Following the triumph of her first international appearance alongside Gal Gadot in Heart of Stone and impressive performances in Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani and Jigra, Alia Bhatt is preparing for an even more thrilling year with upcoming projects. Her remarkable lineup of films promises to highlight her versatility as she continues her streak of success.

Alia Bhatt’s upcoming movies that we can’t wait for:

Alpha

Over several years, the Aditya Chopra-crafted YRF Spy Universe has become the most acclaimed cinematic universe in Indian cinema, featuring some of the biggest stars. With this female-led spy movie, Alia Bhatt and Sharvari make their debut into the widely recognized YRF-created Spy Universe.

As a diehard fan, I can’t contain my excitement for Alpha, the pulse-pounding masterpiece directed by none other than Shiv Rawail! This epic production is brought to us by the legendary Aditya Chopra. Mark your calendars for December 25, 2025, as this cinematic marvel will grace our screens during the festive Christmas holiday season. Prepare yourself for a triple treat as it will be available in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages!

New information reveals that Bobby Deol has been cast as the villain in the upcoming action-thriller film. It’s rumored that Anil Kapoor will join him on set too.

Love & War

Sanjay Leela Bhansali has achieved a remarkable feat by assembling Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal for his upcoming project, titled “Love & War”. According to TopMob, filming for this movie started in Mumbai on November 19, with Alia Bhatt being the first to begin shooting.

According to reports, the actress kicked off her filming schedule with individual scenes in early 2024, and scenes involving her with Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal began towards the end of November 2024.

Alia has devoted considerable effort to this project, focusing solely on it until November 2025. This movie, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, is being marketed as an epic story that combines romance, drama, and action. The film’s production is expected to be finished by October 2025, with a target release date of Eid 2026.

For those who may not know, Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal portray military personnel in the film titled Love And War.

An Untitled Love Story

Previously, TopMob announced that Bhatt might be looking at numerous romantic scripts, with a strong preference for one specific one. It’s rumored that the actress intends to act in and produce this film, which is characterized as a heartwarming love story. Sources suggest that the production of this movie will likely start towards the end of 2025 once she finishes her ongoing project titled Love and War.

As a lifestyle expert, I’m delighted to share an intriguing piece of news. It seems the movie we’ve been anticipating might be directed by a talented individual who previously created a blockbuster that raked in over 200 crores at the box office last year, 2022. Excitingly, talks between Alia and this visionary filmmaker appear to be going smoothly.

While the project isn’t set to begin for another year, it’s possible that Alia could switch to a different script if an attractive alternative presents itself. For the time being, however, it looks like her 2026 release will be a love story.

Jee Le Zara

Since Farhan Akhtar unveiled “Jee Le Zaraa” with Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Chopra, and Katrina Kaif in August 2021, there’s been a great deal of anticipation for the film. Unfortunately, due to scheduling conflicts, the project didn’t get off the ground, causing everyone involved to shift their focus towards other projects.

According to TopMob’s report, the movie’s release has been delayed due to scheduling issues, not cancelled altogether. The production team, consisting of producers, writers, and director, remains deeply invested in the project, viewing it as a labor of passion. It’s been mentioned that the script has now been completed, and they are actively working on bringing the project back to life.

For Excel Entertainment and Tiger Baby, Jee Le Zaraa carries significant importance, being conceived as the third chapter in their series of heartfelt friendship movies, continuing the legacy set by Dil Chahta Hai and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara.

During her trip to India, it’s been reported that Priyanka Chopra had conversations about the project with Farhan Akhtar. Additionally, she kept in touch with Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt. The three of them are rumored to be coordinating their schedules in an effort to revive the highly-awaited film.

Dinesh Vijan’s supernatural thriller Chamunda

According to TopMob, Alia Bhatt is having talks with Maddock Films about a chilling psychological-supernatural thriller. It seems that she has been considering working with producer Dinesh Vijan for some time, and they may soon reach an agreement on a new project.

The intriguing thriller might become her upcoming movie project after Love and War, as negotiations seem to be advancing well. By early 2025, official contracts could be signed.

Title of the movie is currently proposed as Chamunda, a title significantly linked to its evolving plot. It’s been hinted that Alia is eager to collaborate with Maddock on this venture, and if all goes well, it might initiate a fresh cinematic world.

In this scenario, the cosmos aligns with Maddock’s well-established horror-comedy series encompassing Stree, Bhediya, Munjha, and Thamma.
