Amber Heard Speaks Out on Alleged Smear Campaign Against Blake Lively: “I Saw This Firsthand”

As a seasoned gamer who has witnessed countless narratives unfold, both in virtual worlds and real life, I can’t help but draw parallels between these tales and the ongoing saga of Hollywood. The latest chapter involving Amber Heard, Blake Lively, and Justin Baldoni is no exception.

Amber Heard is voicing her opinions following Blake Lively’s detailed accusation against Justin Baldoni, her co-star in the movie ‘It Ends With Us’, and its director, regarding sexual harassment and a supposed attempt to tarnish her image.

Previously mentioned, it was noted that Baldoni brought on board Melissa Nathan last summer. Nathan is a seasoned PR crisis manager and was also employed by Johnny Depp, Heard’s ex-husband, during his high-profile defamation trial against the actress in 2022.

The individual currently residing in Spain provided a response to NBC News regarding the claims detailed in Lively’s lawsuit.

On social media, false information seems to spread rapidly, like the old adage goes, ‘Falsehood flies, and the truth comes limping after.’ I’ve witnessed this myself, and it’s just as alarming as it is damaging,” she expressed.

In the defamation trial against Heard, the jury sided with Depp, awarding him $5 million in punitive damages and $10 million in compensatory damages. In her counterclaim, Heard was awarded $2 million in compensatory damages but no punitive damages.

Depp said at the time that “the jury gave me my life back.”

In her interview with NBC’s Today, Heard expressed, “Even someone who believes I deserve all this hostility and harsh words can’t look me in the eye and claim that social media portrayal of me has been balanced or fair. They simply cannot assert that this process has been just.

Besides others, Lively is backed by her co-actresses from The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants – America Ferrera, Amber Tamblyn, and Alexis Bledel, as well as her director from A Simple Favor, Paul Feig, in expressing their support.

Over the weekend, as reported by TMZ, I found myself called into an urgent gathering on set due to allegations concerning a toxic workplace atmosphere. Interestingly enough, my spouse, Ryan Reynolds, was also present at this meeting, as per the same report.

At that gathering, it’s said that Baldoni was asked to cease a series of questionable behaviors by Lively: playing explicit videos or pictures of women, disclosing his alleged past issues with pornography, discussing his intimate experiences in front of her and others, making comments about the cast and crew’s private parts, and inquiring about Lively’s weight.

Moreover, Lively asserted that Baldoni and their associates supposedly orchestrated a “reputation-damaging” campaign using social manipulation tactics. The court documents contain approximately 22 pages of messages from Baldoni’s publicist to Melissa Nathan of TAG, who runs her own crisis management PR firm, discussing how he desired to make Lively appear “buried,” to which Nathan responded, “We can’t say we will destroy her.

In a statement to The New York Times, Lively expressed her hope that her legal action would expose hidden, harmful retaliatory strategies aimed at those who speak out against misconduct, thereby safeguarding others who might face similar targeting.

As a gamer speaking about a gaming scenario:

Following the public disclosure of Lively’s grievance, WME severed its professional relationship with Baldoni, as they already represent both Lively and Reynolds.
