AMBUSH SS25 Takes Cues From the Art Kid's Uniform

As a gamer with a keen eye for fashion and a heart that yearns for the unconventional, this AMBUSH Spring/Summer 2025 collection has me absolutely thrilled! I’ve always been a fan of Yoon Ahn’s unique blend of vintage, sportswear, and contemporary styles. This time, she’s taken it to another level, drawing inspiration from art students – a group I can totally relate to!

Following my collaboration on Naomi Osaka’s charming U.S. Open outfit for Nike earlier this week, I’ve come back to unveil AMBUSH’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection – a stylish fusion of vintage, sportswear, and modern fashion, drawing inspiration from the creative minds of art students. As a gamer, it feels great to be part of this exciting journey where I get to bring different worlds together on the fashion runway!

The collection, crafted from exquisite Japanese textiles, presents a harmonious blend of sophistication and casualness, often referred to as a “mix of high and low.” It showcases an array of relaxed, whimsical outlines alongside more structured, formal attire. Shorts made of canvas intermingle with rugby shirts adorned with graphic designs reminiscent of photocopied fanzines, while grey tartan suits pair elegantly with knee-length kilts and embellished cowboy belts boasting crystal ornaments. Shirts exhibit knitted argyle panels in rich maroon and green hues, while pants are double-kneed denim, and plaid drawstring trousers reveal the waistline of traditional boxer shorts.

In the future, a blue button-down shirt changes into a practical crossbody bag, demonstrating Ahn’s versatile design approach. Loafers and lace-up shoes, paired with white socks, draw inspiration from an art student’s school uniform, while belts straddle the boundary between firm and soft, featuring curved AMBUSH branding and strings of pearls.

This jewelry collection boasts a variety of items such as flower necklaces, heart-shaped hair clips, earrings, rings, and other pieces, all adorned with pearls. The AMBUSH “A” charm embellishes the chokers, adding a grungy edge to the line’s more delicate silk, tulle, and satin fabrics. To complete the assortment, sunglasses are equipped with wide, pastel-tinted rims that incorporate punkish jewelry details.
