AMBUSH Turned UGGs Into Fluffy Mary Janes and Penny Loafers

In their first partnership, the fashion brand from Tokyo named AMBUSH and the well-known Australian slipper manufacturer UGG are giving a comfortable and trendy touch to corporate footwear. By reinventing traditional Mary Janes and penny loafers, they have created furry, eye-catching styles perfect for everyday wear.

YOON, the co-founder and designer of AMBUSH, expressed that their goal for collaboration is to make everyday life feel more comfortable. On a personal note, they have a fondness for Mary Janes and loafers, and wanted to develop a less formal take on these styles in partnership with UGG. The result is a flexible design that can complement various outfits, ranging from casual to dressy.

The Mary Jane silhouette, available in both pink and white versions, showcases voluminous hair surrounding the entire shoe and a metal tab shaped like a heart across the foot. On the other hand, the penny loafers incorporate multi-hued fur beneath the leather saddle and throughout the insoles of the model’s feet. Interestingly, the design of the latter includes a detachable heel filled with hair, adding an eye-catching touch to its overall appearance.
