As a seasoned gamer with a penchant for both digital and physical timepieces, I must admit that the new AMIDA Digitrend watches have truly caught my eye. Previously this year, AMIDA re-emerged with its Digitrend Take-Off Edition, which was nominated for the 2024 GPHG Petite Aiguille category. Building on this success and eager to extend the model’s reach, AMIDA has now revealed two fresh editions in Black and Gold.
When it comes to these gaming watches, just like their names suggest, they both sport robust stainless steel bodies, available in hues that match their titles, offering both brushed and polished finishes. The Black version sports a black DLC coating, while the Gold one receives a 4N gold PVD treatment. The fresh additions to the collection, much like the Take-Off Edition, remain true to their essence, presenting themselves in a striking, automotive-inspired cast with a unique, vertical display.
Alongside two fresh color options, a standard Steel Edition is unveiled as well. Unlike the Take-Off Edition featuring a unique engraving of a rocket orbiting Earth on its caseback, these new models boast a larger sapphire crystal for a more expansive peek at the movement within. All these watches operate using the Swiss-made Soprod NEWTON P092 automatic caliber, which incorporates an additional module with jumping hour discs.
The prices for these items range between $3,340 and $3,962 USD (equivalent to 2,950 – 3,500 CHF), and matching steel bracelets can be purchased as an extra for about $397 USD (or 350 CHF).
