Recently, at the India Today Mumbai Conclave 2024, she expressed her preference for not becoming an actor, despite her family’s extensive involvement in the entertainment industry, which includes her brother Agastya Nanda.

Navya asserted that everyone should make a significant contribution towards upholding their personal legacy. For herself, she feels her passion lies in social impact and business, and she intends to direct her future endeavors and energy into these areas. “Regardless of my background, this is what I have always aspired to do,” Navya stated. “I am thankful for the opportunities that have shaped my present reality. Unfortunately, this isn’t the case for many people in India. I never wished to merely act.

For those not in the know, Navya is Shweta Bachchan Nanda’s daughter, who tied the knot with businessman Nikhil Nanda back on February 16, 1997 (Big B’s eldest daughter). Lately, she has been making headlines due to her podcast titled What the hell, Navya, where she tackles various social issues alongside her mother and grandmother as special guests.

Recently, Nanda faced scrutiny regarding her admission into IIM, with individuals raising doubts about her qualifications and accomplishments. At the recent gathering, the 26-year-old discussed strategies for shielding herself from online harassment and expressed indifference towards such occurrences. Navya opines that social media empowers numerous individuals to express themselves and serves as an ideal platform for showcasing one’s work.

Navya proudly acknowledged her good fortune for being at IIM and said, “I’ve deliberately chosen to showcase my work and myself openly. I try not to be bothered by harsh words from others. I hail from a highly privileged upbringing. My life experiences have differed significantly from those of many women in India. I tend not to dwell on negative comments.

In 2020, Navya Naveli Nanda, who had just graduated from Fordham University in New York, went on to establish Aara Health, a health technology startup, alongside her partner that very same year.
