Based on reports, Netflix has emerged victorious in a bidding competition for the rights to The Secret of Secrets, the forthcoming sixth installment in Dan Brown’s Robert Langdon series. Scheduled for release by Doubleday on September 9, The Secret of Secrets finds symbologist Robert Langdon in a race against both ancient forces and time as he strives to recover a missing scientist and her revolutionary manuscript whose disclosures could fundamentally alter humanity’s perception of the mind. Dan Brown will collaborate with Carlton Cuse on the untitled series adaptation, with Cuse also assuming the role of showrunner.
The “Secret of Secrets” will mark the fifth live-action adaptation of the Robert Langdon series, following the trilogy starring Tom Hanks and the 2021 Peacock prequel “The Lost Symbol,” featuring Ashley Zukerman.
