As a gamer who’s been through countless hours of action-packed games and binge-watched every single John Wick movie, I must say I’m absolutely thrilled about this Ballerina spinoff! The behind-the-scenes featurette at CCXP in São Paulo just skyrocketed my anticipation for Ana de Armas‘ portrayal of Eve Macarro. Her rigorous training and transformation into a deadly assassin ballerina is nothing short of mesmerizing!

At Comic Con Experience (CCXP) in São Paulo, Brazil, fans were treated to an exclusive behind-the-scenes peek at the upcoming movie “Ballerina,” a spinoff of “John Wick.” The film features Ana de Armas as Eve Macarro, a ballerina trained by Ruska Roma who is on a mission for vengeance after her family’s murder. During the footage presented at CCXP, it emphasized De Armas’ rigorous preparation for the role, including extensive fight choreography and stunt training, demonstrating her transformation into a lethal assassin.

Between “John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum” and “John Wick: Chapter 4,” the movie “Ballerina” delves deeper into the assassin universe that the franchise has created. Characters like Ian McShane and Anjelica Huston reappear, along with new additions such as Norman Reedus, Gabriel Byrne, and Catalina Sandino Moreno. Notably, Keanu Reeves is back, marking his return alongside De Armas for the first time since their 2015 film “Knock Knock.

In the John Wick universe, there’s ongoing expansion, as a prequel anime delves into the backstory of its renowned character. Keanu Reeves is deeply engaged with this anime, adding layers of complexity to the series. Although it appears that John Wick: Chapter 4 conclusively ends the storyline, creators are open to developing fresh tales within this continually broadening universe.
