Ana de Armas Is Out for Vengeance in Official Trailer for ‘Ballerina’

Lionsgate has dropped the official trailer for John Wick spin-off Ballerina starring Ana de Armas.

In the trailer, Charli XCX’s lively song “Von Dutch” is playing, but don’t be deceived by the upbeat tune as it reveals a grim narrative. The story unfolds with an eerie Slavic mythological prologue about a kikimora spirit who exacts revenge on those harboring evil within their hearts. Ana de Armas portrays Eve Macarro, a former Russian ballerina turned assassin, seeking vengeance against the men responsible for her family’s death. Keanu Reeves is expected to reprise his iconic role as John Wick in this film, and the narrative of “Ballerina” takes place between “John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum” and “John Wick: Chapter 4.

In the newest addition to the John Wick series, Len Wiseman takes the director’s chair, while Shay Hatten is responsible for the screenplay. Kaley Smalley Romo serves as an executive producer alongside Basil Iwanyk, Erica Lee, and Chad Stahelski. The movie, titled Ballerina, will hit cinemas on June 6th.
