‘Ananya Panday is not insecure about the way she looks’ admits her CTRL director Vikramaditya Motwane: ‘Kaam to karti hai…’

As a dedicated follower of Bollywood, I must say that Ananya Panday has certainly come a long way since her debut in Student of the Year 2. Her recent performances in Kho Gaye Hum Kahan, Call Me Bae, and CTRL have been nothing short of impressive.

Actress Ananya Panday, debuted in Karan Johar’s 2019 film Student of the Year 2, has been active in the entertainment industry for five years now. Recently, she has garnered praise for her roles in Kho Gaye Hum Kahan, Call Me Bae, and CTRL. Director Vikramaditya Motwane, who led CTRL’s production, acknowledged that Ananya is not self-conscious about her appearance. Additionally, he pointed out that she puts in a great deal of effort during rehearsals.

In a recent chat with Mashable India, director Vikramaditya Motwane discussed his collaboration with Ananya Panday in the 2021 production, CTRL. He commended Ananya’s acting skills, calling her “exceptional” in the film, and shared that he enjoyed working alongside her during the shoot.

Motwane praised her by stating, “(She exhibits) tremendous self-assurance; she’s not troubled about her appearance, her performances, or anything else. Such confidence is truly inspiring in an actor. She consistently delivers her duties diligently, rehearses extensively, and works tirelessly… (implying: She’s a dedicated professional.)

Additionally, Motwane mentioned that the CTRL star demonstrated proficiency in following commands. He explained that during filming, he instructed the actress to disregard her surroundings since she was required to act with her face consistently facing a computer screen throughout the entire movie.

In a display of apparent approval, the director of CTRL noted that Ananya handled even the most challenging camera angles gracefully, as she focused on the screen.

Previously, during an interview with News18, filmmaker Vikramaditya Motwane shared his thoughts on nepotism and its impact on actors often referred to as “nepo kids”. Speaking about Ananya, Motwane highlighted her abilities and disclosed that she is an avid reader, a trait not commonly associated with her by the audience.

Under the guidance of Nikhil Dwivedi and Arya Menon, CTRL featured Ananya Panday and Vihaan Samat as its main characters. This movie was made available on Netflix on October 4, 2024. The clever dialogue was written by Sumukhi Suresh.

Apart from her roles in films such as Liger, Pati Patni Aur Woh, Khaali Peeli, Dream Girl 2, and Gehraiyaan, Ananya Panday has also made a special appearance in the movies Bad Newz alongside Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri, and Ammy Virk this year.
