Ananya has recently shared that she frequently cringes at herself but has improved in recent times. Regarding her earlier work, the star of Call Me Bae confessed that she found it difficult to listen to her own voice back then.
In a recent chat with Humans of Bombay, Ananya Panday was queried about if there had been moments when she felt awkward or uncomfortable revisiting her interview recordings, films, or previous projects.
Ananya confessed that she often feels self-conscious and uncomfortable. She added that while she believes she has improved her appearance on screen over time, even the thought of someone watching a video of her on their phone used to make her leave the room immediately, as if she couldn’t bear to listen to her own voice.
The actress from “CTRL” admitted that she found it hard to watch herself on screen, and Ananya even confessed that she disliked the idea of people watching her performances. In the past, The Call Me Bae star would become quite anxious when viewing her work, but she’s been feeling more at ease lately.
In an interview with India Today, Ananya Panday discussed the significance of others’ opinions regarding her. She admitted that as she pursues risks in her career, her self-worth is influenced by how people evaluate her professional endeavors. However, she emphasized that such opinions do not factor into her personal life decisions.
In the upcoming movie “CTRL,” Ananya will share the screen with Vihaan Samat, who is known for his role in Mismatched. The film is scheduled for release on Netflix on October 4, 2024. Nikhil Dwivedi and Arya A Menon are co-producers of this production. Notably, the trailer for “CTRL,” featuring Ananya, has recently been unveiled on YouTube.
In the preview, we see Ananya portraying Nella, who sets up an account on a digital app named CTRL. The scene shows Nella relinquishing control over her life to a digital persona that effectively removes her partner Joe from her actual existence.
In the upcoming movie, acting newcomer Vihaan Samat has been cast as the character Joe. Additionally, YouTube personalities Rohan Joshi and Tanmay Bhat make brief appearances in the film’s trailer.
In her professional life, Ananya Panday made a notable entrance in 2019 with her first major role. Later that year, she appeared in Pati Patni Aur Woh alongside Kartik Aaryan and Bhumi Pednekar. The following year, she acted opposite Ishaan Khatter in the film Khaali Peeli.
2022 saw Ananya make an appearance in Shakun Batra’s directorial project titled “Gehraaiyaan.” This movie also starred Deepika Padukone, Siddhant Chaturvedi, and Dhairya Karwa as the main characters. Subsequently, she took part in Vijay Devarakonda’s film, “Liger,” which was distributed concurrently in Telugu.
Afterward, Ananya starred in the buddy drama titled “Kho Gaye Hum Kahan,” which came out in 2023 and featured Adarsh Gourav and Siddhant Chaturvedi as the main characters.
